Hidden in the green surroundings of Gierle, Het Beerenbos is a cosy 1-bedroom bungalow made for two. It’s the kind of place where you instantly slow down, breathe in the fresh air and really have time for each other.

You stay in a small but well-designed holiday home with everything you need for a comfortable break. The kitchen is compact yet practical, so you can easily prepare breakfast in your pyjamas or cook a simple dinner together. In the living area you’ll find a dining table and comfortable seating – perfect for long conversations, a glass of wine or a relaxed movie night.

Step outside and you’ll discover the real magic: several terraces and a spacious private garden all around your bungalow. There’s always a sunny or shady spot to sit with a book, enjoy your morning coffee or share an aperitif at the end of the day. You might even get a visit from the neighbour’s friendly cat, who happily drops by for a quick hello.

Feel like exploring? From Het Beerenbos you can easily walk or cycle into the surrounding nature reserves with their peaceful hiking trails. Prefer a night out? There are cosy restaurants nearby, and the supermarket in the centre of Gierle is within walking distance for your daily groceries.

In the garden you can play a relaxed game of boules, or borrow a book from the owner’s collection if you’ve finished your own. Parking is straightforward: Molenvest offers free parking, Kerkplein is paid, and Collegestraat uses a blue disc system.

Before arrival you can choose an optional utilities and service package of EUR 75. This covers things like final cleaning, utility use, service support and protection against minor damages, so you don’t have to think about anything during your stay. Prefer to arrange it yourself? That’s also possible, as long as you leave the bungalow in good condition.

    We had a very nice stay at the Bear Forest. Very nice environment for hiking. The cottage is cozy and equipped with all the necessities. We definitely hope to come back!

    The cottage was fine, and with a very warm welcome! A bottle of cava in the fridge, a personalized card and a basket of fruit. Super thought. For us the intention was to get away from it all, without WIFI, and we really succeeded. It was so wonderfully quiet that we only heard the birds and the falling of the leaves. Well, if that is not delightfully quiet.... In 3 days we were able to read 2 thick books. Hopefully we can go there again. Love Eelco & Christa

    Het huisje was prima, en met een heel hartelijk welkom! Een fles cava in de koelkast, een persoonlijk kaartje en een mandje met fruit. Super aan gedacht. Voor ons de bedoeling om er even helemaal uit te zijn, zonder WIFI, en dat is echt gelukt. Het was zo heerlijk stil dat we alleen de vogels hoorden en het vallen van het blad. Nou ja, als dat niet heerlijk rustig is.... In 3 dagen 2 dikke boeken kunnen lezen. Hopelijk kunnen we nog een keer daar naar toe. Liefs Eelco & Christa

    The cottage was perfect and we received a very warm welcome! A bottle of cava in the fridge, a personalized card and a fruit basket - what a nice gesture! Our aim was to get away from it all, without wifi, and we really succeeded. It was so wonderfully quiet that we could only hear the birds and the rustling of the leaves. Simply wonderfully peaceful!     Das Cottage war perfekt, und wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen! Eine Flasche Cava im Kühlschrank, eine persönliche Karte und ein Obstkorb – was für eine nette Geste! Unser Ziel war es, dem Alltag zu entfliehen, ohne WLAN, und das ist uns wirklich gelungen. Es war so herrlich ruhig, dass wir nur die Vögel und das Rascheln der Blätter hörten.     A beautiful location in the middle of the forest , with plenty of shade during the heat wave. The cottage was well furnished, but the bed was a dingy on the nightly trip to the toilet. But all in all we enjoyed our stay.

    Een prachtige locatie midden in het bos , met tijdens de hittegolf veel schaduw. Het huisje was goed ingericht, maar het bed was wel een dingetje bij het nachtelijke uitstapje naar de wc. Maar al met al hebben we genoten van ons verblijf.

    The location in the middle of the forest was beautiful and offered plenty of shade during the heatwave. The cottage was well equipped, however the bed was a little uncomfortable when going to the toilet at night. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

    Die Lage mitten im Wald war wunderschön und bot während der Hitzewelle viel Schatten. Das Cottage war gut ausgestattet, allerdings war das Bett bei nächtlichen Toilettengängen etwas unbequem. Alles in allem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt genossen.
