Hidden between tall pine trees, chalet Vlaamse Gaai is the perfect escape if you’re looking for peace, nature and a bit of adventure. This detached chalet is designed for families or small groups who want to relax in comfort, but still be close to fun days out.

Inside you’ll find a bright living room with an open-plan kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave and Senseo coffee machine, so you can easily prepare breakfast, cook a simple dinner or just enjoy a relaxed coffee on slow mornings. From the living area you walk straight onto the partly covered veranda – an inviting spot to sit outside, read a book or enjoy the forest air, even if the weather is a bit mixed.

Right next to the veranda there’s a playful, treehouse-style structure that kids will love. They can climb, play and let their imaginations run wild while you keep an eye on them from your comfortable chair. With room for up to four guests, the chalet has two cosy bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The bathroom comes with a shower and washbasin, and there’s a separate toilet for extra convenience.

Of course, you don’t have to disconnect completely. The chalet offers free Wi‑Fi and a digital TV, while heating keeps everything warm and cosy on cooler evenings. You can park your car right next to the chalet, so unloading luggage is quick and easy.

Fancy exploring the area? Within a short drive you’re in Antwerp, packed with culture, history and fun. Visit the Rubens House, dive into the Chocolate Museum or spend a day at one of Europe’s oldest zoos. For a family day full of thrills and rides, Bobbejaanland amusement park is about 20 minutes away. Nature lovers can hit the nearby walking trails or cool off at the outdoor pools of De Lilse Bergen and Netepark on sunny days.

After an active day, you don’t even have to leave the campsite for a good meal. At La Cantina you can enjoy Spanish tapas, refreshing sangria and, on weekends, live flamenco music. Prefer something simple? Head to the campsite bar for a relaxed drink and some light bites.
