At La Pause Insolite you step into a different rhythm of life – simple, slow and close to nature. Hidden in a large, green garden near a small stream, this authentic Mongolian yurt offers a peaceful escape for up to 4 people, away from the usual hustle and digital noise.

Almost 20 years ago, the owner started with a small cottage in her garden. Over time she added several vintage caravans and, after meeting a Mongolian couple, finally brought in a real Mongolian yurt – complete with some original furniture. All accommodations share the same generous plot, but thanks to the many trees and clever layout, you still enjoy plenty of privacy and a wonderfully secluded feeling.

The yurt is only available from May to September, making it a perfect summer hideaway. Inside you’ll find a cosy, warm atmosphere with simple but comfortable furnishings that invite you to slow down. In keeping with the authentic Mongolian style, there are no windows in the roof or walls, so the yurt feels intimate and snug.

Here you really unplug: there’s no Wi-Fi in the yurt on purpose. Instead, you’ll find books and board games for rainy moments or relaxed evenings indoors. Outside, nature is your playground. Follow the 3 km barefoot path and wander along some of the most beautiful spots in the area – feeling the grass, earth and stones under your feet is all part of the back-to-basics experience.

The sanitary facilities are also eco-friendly and authentic: you use dry toilets. Nearby there’s a shared relaxation area with wellness options, a campfire spot and a pizza oven, perfect for long summer nights under the stars. Roast marshmallows, bake your own pizza and enjoy the quiet countryside vibe.

Because the yurt stands in the owner’s garden, the environment feels very safe and welcoming, yet still private and not overlooked. She loves to share her way of living and offers you a stay that feels like a little break outside of time – a chance to reset, reconnect with nature and rediscover how little you actually need for a truly memorable holiday.
