Step back in time in this classic Danish log cabin near Silkeborg – the perfect spot if you love nature, peace and a bit of rustic charm. Hidden away in a quiet summer house area, this cosy 50 m² cabin offers a simple but comfortable base for up to four people.

Inside, you’ll find two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The layout is compact and practical, with a combined living room and kitchenette where you’ll spend most of your time. In the living area, the wood-burning stove is the real heart of the house, bringing warm, hyggelig evenings after a day outside. There’s also a TV with satellite channels, so you can relax with a film or catch up on the news.

The kitchenette has everything you need for easy holiday cooking: an electric cooker, fridge-freezer and coffee maker for that first cup in the morning. The bathroom is simple but functional, with a shower cubicle and toilet.

Outside, the cabin sits on a generous 900 m² natural plot with a big open lawn – great for ball games, playing with the kids or just stretching your legs. You can enjoy long summer days on the open terrace or find shade on the covered terrace. A garden grill is ready for relaxed barbecue evenings.

One of the highlights of this place is its location close to the river. You have shared fishing rights on the nearby Gudenå river (with a valid fishing license), so it’s a great choice if you like to cast a line in peaceful surroundings. Despite the tranquil setting, you’re not far from the lively city of Silkeborg, with its cosy pedestrian streets, the famous Silkeborg Lakes and plenty of attractions and cafés.

Restaurants and the coast are about 2.5 km away, and the nearest grocery store is 5 km from the cabin – close enough for convenience, far enough to keep things wonderfully quiet. This authentic log cabin doesn’t try to be luxurious, but it does offer exactly what you need for a relaxed, down-to-earth holiday in the heart of Jutland.

A refundable deposit may be charged before arrival. This works as a prepayment for utilities and any extra services you choose. After your stay, the actual usage is calculated based on meter readings, and any remaining amount will be refunded within 21 days.
