Camping Le Paradou

Less than a 20-minute drive from the campsite is Parc Aventure de la Loge des Gardes, a large climbing park set in nature. Here you'll find challenging courses with rope bridges and zip lines for different ages and skill levels. Climb from tree to tree and whizz through the forest on ziplines. A fun and active outing for families with children and adventurous teenagers.

The area around Camping Le Paradou is a true paradise for mountain bikers. With more than 1,000 kilometers of designated routes, there is a suitable challenge for every level. You cycle through forests, over hills, and along streams, with impressive vistas along the way. There is also plenty of choice for hikers: there are 34 marked trails that take you through the unspoiled nature of the Auvergne. Thanks to the clear signposting, you can easily set off on your own. Along the way, you will pass quiet villages and places to take a break. Whether you choose a sporty bike ride or a relaxing walk, here you can experience nature at its best.

In the immediate surroundings of the campsite, there are several small, atmospheric villages that are definitely worth a visit. A short distance away, for example, you'll find Champoly, where you can take a beautiful walk to an old castle ruin with a panoramic view. The village of Lavoine is also highly recommended, with a museum about wood and forests and a unique water mechanism. In the area, you'll also find various viewpoints, such as the Rocher Saint-Vincent, where you'll be rewarded with a stunning view over the hills. These villages give you a good impression of authentic French rural life and are perfect for a peaceful and varied day out.
