Looking for a romantic getaway that’s just a little bit different? Hausboot Friedrich is a brand-new stationary houseboat moored on Lake Malchow, right by the charming island town of Malchow. Here you sleep on the water, wake up with views over the lake, and still have all the cosy buzz of the town within easy reach.

This floating holiday home is perfect for two. Step outside onto your terrace and watch the boats glide past while you sip your morning coffee or an evening drink. On sunny days you can head up to the roof terrace, stretch out in the sun and really soak in the peace of the lake district. Staying on a houseboat means you’re always in direct contact with nature – water, fresh air and wide-open views all around.

Inside, you’ll find everything you need for a relaxed break for two, including bed linen and towels, and all energy costs are already included. There’s a TV that can be used for watching DVDs – ideal for a cosy night in – but keep in mind that there are no live TV channels. This is the kind of place where you swap channel surfing for stargazing over the lake.

Malchow is a certified climatic health resort and is also known as the “island town”, because its historic centre lies on an island in the middle of the lake, connected to the mainland by a picturesque swing bridge. The bridge isn’t just a technical monument, but also the lively heart of the town, with passenger boats, restaurants and a relaxed holiday atmosphere.

The area is a paradise for water sports fans, sailors and anglers, with plenty of cycling and hiking trails along the shore and through green mixed forests. You can also go horse riding in the surrounding countryside. Fancy a bit more action? The summer toboggan run and the Monkey Forest of Malchow are only about 3.5 km away.

    Good impression, both inside and out. Well maintained (new?) and clean. However, the bedroom, shower and toilet were more cramped than expected. The living room was more spacious. Heating on countertop was a good idea. The sound of the pump was especially annoying at night. Note: The description incorrectly states that there is a "coffee maker/cups". For Cafissimo/Tchibo, it should have said "capsules". Thanks for the wasted effort. No free parking. On the last day there was a partial power outage (light and water). On-site orientation was not possible until 3:00 pm. Which meant the first day was almost over.... Check out was at 10:00 am. At around €170 per day in low season, the value for money is definitely overpriced and unreasonable.

    Goede indruk, zowel van binnen als van buiten. Goed onderhouden (nieuw?) en schoon. De slaapkamer, douche en toilet waren echter krapper dan verwacht. De woonkamer was ruimer. Verwarming op het aanrecht was een goed idee. Het geluid van de pomp was vooral 's nachts hinderlijk. Let op: In de beschrijving staat ten onrechte dat er een "koffiezetapparaat/cups" is. Voor Cafissimo/Tchibo had er "capsules" moeten staan. Bedankt voor de verspilde moeite. Geen gratis parkeren. Op de laatste dag was er een gedeeltelijke stroomstoring (licht en water). Een oriëntatie ter plaatse was pas om 15:00 uur mogelijk. Wat betekende dat de eerste dag bijna voorbij was... Uitchecken was om 10:00 uur. Met ongeveer € 170 per dag in het laagseizoen is de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding absoluut te duur en onredelijk.

Which means the 1st day was almost over... Check out already at 10:00 Price-performance ratio with approx. 170€ per day in the off-season absolutely overpriced and inappropriate.

    Außen wie innen guter Eindruck. Gepflegt ( neu?) und sauber. Aber doch enger als erwartet: Schlafzimmer sowie Dusche und WC. Wohnzimmer mehr Platz. Heizungen an der De ke-tolle Idee Geräusche der Pump-Vorgänge besonders nachts störend. Achtung: in der Beschreibung ist nachzulesen,dass es eine "Kaffeemaschine/ Pads" gibt. Richtig wäre " Kapseln " Für Cafissimo /Tchibo gewesen. Vielen Dank für unnütze Ausgabe unsererseits Kein kostenfreier Pkw-Parkplatz Am letzten Tag Teil- Ausfall der Elektrik (Licht und Wasser) Einweisung vor Ort erst ab 15:00 möglich. Womit der 1.Tag schon fast rum wäre... Auschecken schon.um 10:00 Preis-Leistungsverhältnis mit ca 170€ pro Tag in der Nachsaison absolut überteuert und unangemessen.
