Unfortunately, we had to cancel the vacation 10 days before it was due to start because I had broken two lumbar vertebrae. I had hoped that we would perhaps be credited at least part of the nights as an act of goodwill. As friends of ours were on the pitch, we know that the pitch was rebooked. That is not customer-friendly for us. Communication was not always friendly. We know it differently

A locally beautiful terrace-style pitch with a great view. The individual pitches are very, very spacious and have electricity (CEE), sewage pipes and, I think, fresh water again from spring. The biggest downside was the sanitary facilities, which were far from adequate!!! Cleanliness was top, but there was not always toilet paper on site, which was due to the fact that there were far too few toilets (2 urinals & 2 toilets) for the men and 4 toilets for the ladies. Furthermore, it would be nice if you could "park" your four-legged friend in front of the sanitary facilities using an eyelet or similar...there are also not enough garbage cans, perhaps with integrated poop bag dispensers, which are available on other sites!

Pitch is very large and well maintained. The connections are good thanks to the free SauerlandCard. What didn't work at all were the extremely limited WCs for both sexes (only 4 for ladies, 2 cubicles for men plus 2 stand-up WCs) Sometimes the men in particular had to queue up to the sinks to go to the loo... What will that look like when the weather is nice and the place is full? What's more, the facilities are closed for 2 hours at lunchtime. Anyone who "has to" go urgently is out of luck and has to wait... An absurdity... The place itself is quite nice, but for these reasons it is out for us.

Two weeks ago, we booked a parking space for the end of the year. Unfortunately, our vehicle is now in the workshop for a few weeks. It is a great pity that Camping Brilon could not and would not accommodate us. We were only very briefly informed of the cancellation conditions. We know that these are of course legally binding, but the communication was very poor. Although the telephone should have been manned according to the opening times, no one could be reached by telephone and our email was not answered either! Then when someone was available by phone the next day, they only answered with Camping Brilon, there was only a very brief reference to the conditions and when asked if there was any other possibility of postponing, there was only a curt: No! A real shame, customer-friendly communication is different! There are nice places elsewhere, even with friendly service! We won't be booking here again.

Super nice campsite in Brilon/Sauerland. Spacious and very clean sanitary building at no extra cost. Beautiful large pitches divided by hedges. The wonderful "nineteen" restaurant in the golf club is directly opposite and within walking distance. Definitely worth a visit, highly recommended! Willingen and Winterberg are easy to reach by bike or train. We will definitely be back

Super schöner Campingplatz in Brilon/Sauerland.
