Enjoy the farm life at this glamping site in North Holland. The Hooiberghut is suitable for 5 people and is also known as a true hotel room on the farm. The Hooiberghut is cozily furnished and equipped with a table and chairs and a small kitchenette. This includes a full inventory, such as running cold water, a two-burner electric hob, fridge, kettle, and a coffee maker so you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee in the morning while overlooking green surroundings. Sleeping in the Hooiberghut means comfortable beds, with a double bed and three single beds available. There is also a toilet, and you can use showers, dishwashing facilities, and washing machines at the campsite. Prefer private sanitary facilities? These can be booked as an extra.

Around the Hooiberghut you’ll find a picnic table and an outdoor cooking area with a barbecue and pizza oven. Facilities at Camping Duinzoomhoeve

Camping Duinzoomhoeve is a luxury farm campsite located right among the flower bulb fields of Julianadorp aan Zee. This is a friendly campsite featuring the Pinkenstal living room, a place where you can play games until eleven in the evening, read, and find information about the activities at the campsite. For the kids, there is a sandbox, climbing pole, bird’s nest swing, go-kart park with all kinds of go-karts, and a family canoe for rent.

You can rent various types of bikes here, book guided mudflat excursions, or take part in a campfire night. For a lovely breakfast, you can go to the farmer’s wife for fresh eggs and warm buns, or have a full breakfast in the Pinkenstal. In the evening you can enjoy fresh local products with the farmer’s wife, buy a barbecue package with fresh meat from the butcher, or use the pizza oven or kettle to prepare a delicious meal. From Speelement (the business of the farmer’s daughter) you can play the thrilling game ‘Escape the Storm’, and at Camping Duinzoomhoeve there is also the possibility to play laser tag. At this cozy family campsite, there is something to do for all ages; you’re guaranteed to have a wonderful glamping holiday here with the whole family.

The area around Julianadorp, North Holland

Julianadorp is the largest contiguous flower bulb area in the world. Via a bicycle and canoe route, Julianadorp is connected to Den Helder. Here you’ll find dunes and a beautifully clean beach with the most sunshine hours in the Netherlands, where you can enjoy the three beach pavilions to the fullest. In Julianadorp aan Zee there are several restaurants, a golf course, and a swimming pool. A visit to the center of Den Helder is highly recommended. Here you can visit Fort Kijkduin, the Marine Museum and the Rescue Museum or see the lighthouse Lange Jaap in the old whalers village of Huisduinen, the oldest part of Den Helder.

From Den Helder you can take the boat to Texel, a beautiful destination perfect for a day trip. Visiting the Texel Brewery, Ecomare, Kaapskil, and the lighthouse is definitely worthwhile. To further explore North Holland, visit Land van Fluwel in St. Maartensvlotbrug, the Westfries Market in Schagen, the Netherlands’ second shopping city Alkmaar, or spend a day in Hoorn with its impressive Dutch East India Company history.

Nature lovers will also feel at home here: within cycling distance from Camping Duinzoomhoeve you’ll find Zwanenwater, Mariëndal Nature Reserve, De Helderse Vallei and the Donkere Duinen. A unique natural area is Balgzand, located between Den Helder and Hippolytushoef.
