Lima Escape - Tree Lodges and Glamping Tents Portugal

Fantastically located in Portugal's largest national park, this site offers everything you need for the perfect "Escape to Nature." The owners of camping Entre Ambos-os-Rios in Ponte da Barca wanted to develop a concept where eco-tourism and glamping go hand in hand, without compromising on quality, sustainability, luxury, and nature. That’s how Lima Escape was born. At Lima Escape, you’re still in direct contact with nature, but in a comfortable setting. You won’t find TVs or WiFi in the treehouses and glamping tents. Instead, you can listen to birdsong, hear the rustling leaves in the trees, and enjoy shooting stars, sunrises, and sunsets.

The Tree Lodges and Glamping Tents of Lima Escape 

With this vision, Lima Escape has built lodges and a "Treehouse" that offer direct contact with nature, yet in a comfortable and luxurious environment. This applies both to the accommodations themselves and to the balcony, where you can enjoy views of the Lima River and the Bayou. In line with the same concept, Lima Escape created a glamping tent zone, decorated in Oriental style. Here you'll find three different types: the safari tent, bell tent, and tipi. These tents feature comfortable double beds and have wooden balconies with tables and chairs. Everything in the area breathes nature, and from the tents, you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the Lima River.

Pets are welcome in all of Lima Escape’s glamping accommodations. This way, we offer everyone a true "family" experience and your four-legged friends can also enjoy their freedom and connect with pure nature.

Young guests can enjoy a cozy playground, where they can play safely and happily. There is also a beautifully designed swimming pool area, perfect for a refreshing dip or just relaxing. The cozy Lima Bar serves breakfast, snacks, salads, coffee, drinks, beer, wine, and cocktails. Guests can enjoy toasties, hotdogs, hamburgers, regional smoked ham and sausage, sandwiches, and a selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. On cold winter days, visitors can enjoy the warmth of the fireplace or experience the cozy atmosphere in the winter garden.

The charming village of Ponte da Barca, nearby, features a beautiful ancient bridge over the Lima River and peaceful squares to explore. The historic Ponte de Lima, the oldest town in Portugal, is famous for its medieval bridge, atmospheric streets, and local markets. History comes alive at Castelo de Lindoso, an impressive medieval castle with stunning views across the valley.

Additionally, the region offers the chance to unwind in the natural thermal springs of Gerês, where the healing waters are ideal for a moment of relaxation. For those who love local products, there are various farmers’ markets and artisan shops, where you can enjoy Portuguese specialties like cheese, wine, and honey.
