These are set in a wildflower meadow in the beautiful landscape of the Lauragais, an undiscovered corner of southwest France between Toulouse and Carcassonne. In short, all the ingredients for a truly unique holiday. All accommodations have a fully equipped private kitchen and bathroom. A place to relax, play, and use as a base to easily explore the region with its fascinating towns, gorgeous lakes, and rich food culture.

The Glamping Tents of Nature's Pace Holidays

Feel the sturdiness of these Dutch-made tents with insulated wooden floors and wood frames, supporting the custom-made tent canvas. They are 32m2 and 2.5m high and offer a comfortable stay for 4 people. One bedroom has a large king-size bed and the other is equipped with bunk beds, where there is also space for a cot.

The glamping tents have a spacious living room with a sofa, chairs, and a dining table. They give you the opportunity to relax and fully enjoy the beautiful views through the panoramic windows. Adjacent to the tent, you will find your private kitchen and BBQ. The kitchen is equipped with a combi-oven, microwave, gas stove, fridge with freezer, coffee maker, and all the utensils you need to prepare delicious meals. Next to the kitchen is the luxury bathroom with stylish shower, toilet, sink, underfloor heating and even a hairdryer. On the other side of the tent is the shady private terrace with dining and garden furniture to eat together, relax, read or play games. The glamping tent also features a large awning, which allows you to relax wonderfully in the meadow on those long summer days, while sitting in the shade.

It can get quite warm here, so the tents are also equipped with air conditioning to cool down. A bit chilly? No problem, they can also heat!

The Facilities of Nature's Pace Holidays

Nature's Pace Holidays is located in the Lauragais countryside, an undiscovered part of France. The location offers peace and quiet in a natural setting, but also plenty to do nearby in the region. The tranquility and privacy of the tents is enhanced by the other shared facilities on site. There is a heated outdoor pool, a children's playground and under the roof of the large open barn is a small shop and 'bar' with table tennis, foosball, and other games to enjoy together. Under the shady trees on the grounds, there is plenty of space to relax in the hammock or lounge chair. At Nature's Pace Holidays, Peter and Liz are happy to advise you on local restaurants, activities, and places to visit, and they are delighted to organize extra special moments for you, such as a Chinese massage, beauty treatment, wine tasting, or even sculpture sessions with the local artist.

The Surroundings of Montmaur, Occitanie

Here you wake up to the singing of the birds, relax by the pool in the afternoon and discover the beautiful, green surroundings. Nature's Pace Holidays is located in the small village of Montmaur in the Aude, just over the border with Haute-Garonne. Surrounded by beautiful scenery in a peaceful setting, where birds and frogs provide most of the sounds, occasionally interrupted by a tractor.

Nature’s Pace Holidays offers you the chance to escape hectic life for a calm environment, while still having easy access to many places in the region worth visiting. Only 45 minutes from the airports of Toulouse and Carcassonne, excellent links to the A61 highway and the Toulouse-Narbonne railway just 15 minutes away. For cyclists, it's an easy ride to and from the Canal du Midi along country lanes or beside the Rigole, between the canal and Lac de Saint-Ferréol. It provides an excellent base to explore the Lauragais and what lies beyond:

• Swimming, hiking, or sailing at Lac de Saint-Ferréol, Lac de la Ganguise or one of the other nearby lakes.

• Explore the Cathar castles.

• Experience Carcassonne.

• Canoeing on the river L'Hers.

• A day out in Toulouse. Maybe take a walk at the famous Victor Hugo market.

• Sample local markets such as Revel and return to prepare the perfect evening meal.
