General information
Want to spend a holiday in the real, authentic Tuscany? You can at Novanta 90, a truly special glamping in Italy. The Tuscan mountain hamlet Borgo di Gello is the glamping. The owners have created unique overnight stays here, including the romantic Skylodge.
Novanta's Skylodge
Staying overnight in the Skylodge in Tuscany is a completely unique experience. Imagine a room without walls, windows, or a ceiling, but with a large double canopy bed. You'll sleep under the stars, surrounded by trees and bushes, with birds and squirrels nearby. In short, unspoiled nature. The bed stands on a wooden platform on stilts, raised above the ground. Around the bed, you have a terrace with panoramic views, and behind the bed is a luxurious outdoor bathroom. The plexiglass panel above the bed ensures you won't get wet if there’s a little rain.
Facilities at Novanta
At this glamping, you experience the real Tuscany. The food that's prepared is made from fresh ingredients sourced from the surrounding area. The wine comes from local wineries, and even the truffles and mushrooms are found in the nearby forests. Dinner is prepared together and served at a long wooden table. You're warmly invited to help out in the kitchen, so you can learn to cook delicious Italian food as well.
Enjoyment doesn't end at the table—there's much more. On the property, you'll find various cozy hangouts where you can truly relax. Walk through the peaceful orchard, explore the impressive old ruins, or unwind by the saltwater swimming pool. Situated on the edge of the hill, the 20-meter pool offers stunning views of the valley, making every swim feel like a moment of pure tranquility. This glamping in Tuscany also offers plenty of activities to immerse yourself in the local culture. You can go truffle hunting, try archery, practice yoga, or have lunch at the neighbor's—the butcher’s—farm on the hill. And there's so much more to experience! Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, Novanta offers the perfect escape for every guest.
The area around Bibbiena, Tuscany
Enjoy spectacular views over the valley, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and a stillness you’ll rarely find elsewhere. The secluded and idyllic medieval hamlet of Borgo di Gello had been abandoned since the 1950s but has now come back to life. The village, with its few buildings and a church, is the entire glamping.
A beautiful little river perfect for swimming flows just a short distance from the glamping. Arezzo and Florence are only one and two hours’ drive from Novanta, so it’s easy to make trips to these stunning cities. Florence, for example, offers a wealth of art, history, and architecture—don’t miss the Uffizi Gallery and the Duomo. There are also many picturesque villages nearby, reflecting authentic Tuscan life—perfect for a peaceful walk or a visit to local farms.
Food plan
Novanta offers a food plan (required at an extra cost) which includes a complete breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Coffee, tea, sparkling and still tap water are always free—and you can even pick mint leaves from the herb garden for a refreshing organic mint tea! Children under 4 eat for free, and children aged 4-12 pay a little less than half price. Want to explore the area and eat at a local restaurant one day? No problem! Those costs will simply be reimbursed.
The price shown is based on the nightly rate in low season, based on a week’s stay.
