Experience an unforgettable night in the Schwerin Zoo treehouse, which is designed as the explorer's hut of Alexander von Humboldt. It offers 40 m² of space for up to six people and impresses with its cozy, rustic charm. On the first floor you'll find a living room and kitchen with a small kitchenette equipped with a hob, kettle, toaster, and fridge. The three sleeping alcoves are individually designed: one for bookworms, one for children with dolls and stuffed animals, and a romantic alcove – the dovecote – for lovers. A shower and toilet ensure extra comfort.

On your own balcony, you can enjoy the view of the zoo and animal neighbors such as peccaries, coatis, and capuchins. With private access, a large collection of games, and plenty of books, your stay becomes a special experience – adventure and relaxation in the middle of nature! Even on colder days, you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere in the treehouse thanks to built-in heating.

During the day, you can fully enjoy the zoo until closing time. Want to make your experience even more special? Book an exciting animal encounter in the afternoon or an exclusive evening tour, subject to availability.

The zoo's bistro and zoo shop are available for a quick refreshment in between. There is also a playground directly opposite the treehouse – perfect for adventurers of all ages! There is a supermarket near the zoo.

The surroundings of Schwerin

Schwerin Castle, with its impressive architecture and idyllic location by the lake, is about a 30 minute walk or 10 minute drive away. Right next to it is the Schwerin Residence Ensemble, which offers a fascinating insight into the city's history.

The old town of Schwerin is also within walking distance in about 30 minutes or accessible by car in 10 minutes. Here you can stroll through winding alleys, visit cozy cafés, or browse in small boutiques.

For nature lovers, there are numerous excursion destinations nearby: Schwerin Lake is almost directly adjacent to the grounds of Schwerin Zoo and can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. The Faule See is also very close and just a 5 minute walk away – perfect for a little break in nature. The Ostdorf Lake is also just a 30 minute walk or 10 minute drive and is perfect for relaxing walks.
