Following a change of operator, the jetties have been renovated and the harbor will eventually become a houseboat resort. What has remained: The good location close to the city. But: Very expensive, payment only by i-Marina via QR code, which only the harbour master has. No showers, no toilets, no water. Supposedly you can shower somewhere across the road - we assume at a charter base there. Do they know about it...? Too bad, but we have to advise against a visit. Maybe late in the evening if need be, the harbour master probably does his rounds around 7 pm...

Was geblieben ist: Die gute stadtnahe Lage.

We enjoyed staying here for many years. Yes the jetties were not the best anymore but the location and the harbor masters were. The port has been completely refurbished in terms of jetties but the intention is that only "houseboats" will be moored here. You can buy a box and houseboat but actually it is no longer a location for transients. Toilet facilities are closed. We could still moor there because no houseboat has been sold yet but it has become very expensive compared to previous years (€38 for 11m without facilities). Too bad, was a fine marina

Rented a houseboat in Lemmer with friends for a few days at the end of March. The boat is located in the marina right next to Lemmer's shopping center. You are self-catering on the houseboat, so you are spoiled for choice with Aldi, Lidl, Jumbo and Albert Heijn. The town itself has an interesting past and many sights. But other places can also be easily visited from here.
