Heard and read a lot about the Betteld beforehand. From camping with a tent to luxury chalets, it's all there. Our family with two children aged 8 and 11 spent a week there with our own caravan. The ratio of the park is about 2/3 units and 1/3 camping. At certain corners of the park there are some dilapidated old mobile homes, not very nice. Also, the roadsides are in need of improvement here and there. Still, they are definitely renovating as well. The playground with cable car and the new shower room on one side of the park are very nice. When the recreational lake can reopen, it will be a big plus for the campground. Information at the park is somewhat lacking. On the field where we stood, the Wolsinkweide, a sign was missing. Also, there are hardly any signposts on the park, although that is not insurmountable once you know your way to toilet, reception, soccer field, ect. A number of campers on the Wolsink meadow, but also on other camping areas, had the annoying habit during our stay of parking their cars permanently on the field, against the policy of the campground. So too on our reserved spot on arrival. After reporting to the reception there was understanding from the staff and they put out a message via their own app to park cars again in the designated spot outside the park but unfortunately this was not heeded. The first night music could be heard until well after 23:00 (stomp). The staff thought about that the next day and fortunately it stayed that one night. The staff is very friendly and personally involved. For Christian youth this is a place where you want to be. During regular vacations there is a lot organized for all age groups and the accessibility is low. For this reason alone we would still book a vacation in Zelhem.
