EuroParcs De Rijp in North Holland is the perfect balance of tranquility and adventure. The park is entirely in old-Zaan style. Surrounded by water and polder landscape. Put on your walking shoes, relax at the swimming pond beach, or explore the area from a whisper boat. Within half an hour you are at the coast, the IJsselmeer, or Alkmaar and Volendam. Or take the whole family to Sprookjeswonderland. At the park there is also plenty to do with tennis court, petting zoo and swimming pools.

    There was already confusion at the front desk and apparently they were severely overbooked. First we already had no oven so we had to throw away all our planned food. Then we had to clean ourselves for about three hours to make the cottage a little livable (it was really rancid) At one point the power also goes out so not only do we have no wifi and television, we also have no more heating and everything in the fridge is for the bin. We call the emergency service, but they just hands up. After 4 a.m. we got people on the line who supposedly would help us further but that didn't happen. When at 4 o'clock at night we finally got someone on the line again, their answer was "go and sit under a blanket with everyone"! At that moment we had been sitting under a blanket for hours, wearing coats and scarves, with two daughters under the age of ten, at three in the morning! This park is really disgusting!

    Er was al verwarring aan de receptie en blijkbaar waren ze zwaar overbooked. Eerst hadden we al geen oven waardoor we al ons geplande eten moesten wegsmijten. Daarna hebben we zelf zo'n drie uur moeten poetsen om het huisje een beetje leefbaar te maken (het was echt ranzig) Op een gegeven moment valt ook de stroom uit waardoor niet enkel geen wifi en televisie hebben, we hebben ook geen verwarming meer en alles in de koelkast is voor de vuilbak. We bellen de nooddienst, maar die handen gewoon op. Na 4u kregen we mensen aan de lijn die ons zogezegd zouden verder helpen maar dat gebeurde niet. Toen we om 4u snacht eindelijk weer iemand aan de lijn kregen,was het antwoord 'ga gezellig met z'n allen onder een dekentje zitten '! Wij zaten op dat moment al uren onder een deken, met een jas en sjaals aan, met twee dochters onder de tien jaar, om drie uur snachts! Dit park is echt walgelijk!

    The chalet we initially received had a very bad smell, and the toilet water was not working. We were then moved to another house late at night, which was very exhausting as we are a large family. After moving to the second chalet, we were surprised to find that the heating system wasn’t working. This caused my father to fall ill for several days, as it was only repaired after a few days due to the weekend holiday. Despite contacting reception multiple times and explaining the situation, we were denied any compensation. Worse still, we were even refused a one-hour late check-out. It was a bad experience, and I will not return or recommend this place to anyone.
