General information

Looking for a cosy lakeside escape where you can really switch off? At Blackcleugh Glamping you stay in a unique cabin right on the edge of peaceful Langley Dam, with wide open views over the fishing lake. The cabin is built in the shape of a traditional clinker boat, so you get that fun nautical vibe – but with all the modern comforts you need for a relaxed break.

Inside, the cabin sleeps up to 4 guests plus 1 child. There’s a comfy fixed king-size bed and a handy sofa bed, so it’s ideal for couples, friends or a small family. The en-suite shower room means no late-night walks to a shared block – you have your own private bathroom, warm and ready whenever you are.

Love cooking your own meals? The well-equipped kitchenette has a sink, kettle, toaster, fridge with small ice box, ceramic hob and electric oven. Start your day with coffee overlooking the water, or come back after a day out and whip up an easy dinner before settling in with a film on the smart TV with DVD. WiFi is available too, so you can stream, share photos or plan your next adventure.

Step outside and you’ll find your own private decking with seating and a firepit/BBQ. It’s the perfect spot for long, lazy evenings by the water – grilling your favourite food, watching the sun set over the lake, and staying out late under a sky full of stars. The cabin is set in lovely gardens and natural areas, ideal for relaxing, reading a book or simply listening to the sounds of nature around you.

Families are well catered for here. Kids will love the dedicated nautical-themed play area, complete with slide, cargo net, balance beams, a small boat and a raised platform. While the children play, you can sit back and enjoy the views or wander down for a gentle lakeside walk and a bit of wildlife watching.

Whether you’re dreaming of a quiet romantic break by the water, a nature-filled family holiday or just a few days to recharge in the countryside, this glamping cabin by Langley Dam gives you that perfect mix of rustic charm, comfort and adventure – all in one beautiful place.
