Heiberg cottage - 4 persons

Mooie camping/bungalow park.
Super mooie, moderne, volledig ingerichte huisjes waar je je echt thuis voelt.
Er zijn ook glampingtenten die er heel goed uitzagen.
De huisjes waren netjes schoon en voorzien van bedlinnen.

Maak ook de binnenkant van de ramen/kozijnen schoon want die waren echt wel heel erg vies. (Foto toegevoegd)
Verder heeft het kamp verdeeld over het hele park overal speeltuintjes en sportparkjes.
Water/fun gedeelde is leuk maar daar ben je ook snel uitgekeken.
Tegenover het park (letterlijk een steenworp afstand) heb je een groot buitenzwembad helaas zonder duikplank en geen grote glijbanen maar verder zijn er vele speelplekken aanwezig voor de kleintjes onder ons en kan je gratis parkeren. Is maar 2 minuten lopen maar toch als je met kids gaat heb je zware tassen dus dan is met de auto ideaal en al helemaal als je achteraan in het park gevestigd zit.
*TIP* haal bij de receptie entree bewijzen want dan krijg je een polsbandje en daarmee kan je je gehele verblijf in en uitlopen i.p.v betalen bij het zwembad zelf.
Normaal €15 pp en €10 & €3 per kind en via de receptie kost hetmet korting €7.50 etc... Maar daarmee kan je dus je hele vakantie lekker zwemmen. (Kostte mij met 2 kids €22-.)
Op het park zijn honden toegestaan dus als je daar bang voor bent denk 2x na.
Parkeren konden wij bij ons huisje en dat vind ik ook altijd erg fijn. (Panorama cottage)
Verder is het overal schoon en netjes en kan je tegen betaling gourmet en bbq bestellen voor in je huisje en dat wordt dan gebracht en gehaald.
Helaas waren de slagbomen van het park zelf een beetje van slag waardoor IEDEREEN naar binnen en naar buiten kon. Wel handig als je na 22 uur aan kwam want dan kon je ook nog maar binnen en normaal is het dan tot de volgende ochtend 8 uur gesloten.
Restaurant is goed te doen dus daar kan je prima eten.
Lawaai in de avond/nacht heb ik niet gehoord.
TOP LOCATIE met winkels op max 15 rijden met de auto.
*Tip* boek een tripje naar het blotevoetenpad want dat is wel leuk voor de kids
(Duurd wel 3 uur dus neem water en wat eten mee)

A bit of a mixed experience. The campground is in a fantastic location close to Maastricht and Genk—there’s a nice splash park, but the playgrounds aren’t great and aren’t really suitable for children under 3. The shower and restroom facilities are fine, but it’s a shame you can’t adjust the temperature yourself—it’s easy for little ones to get scalded. The campsites themselves are fine, but people are very rude and constantly cut across the sites to get to the restrooms faster—there really should be signs telling people to use the paths and not cut across others’ sites; it was really bad. And the water park isn’t part of the campground—it’s on the other side—and costs 7.5 euros per person for the entire stay. However, the water park is only open when, in their opinion, the weather is good. We were only able to use it three times during the nine days we were there this July… they closed it on days when it was 24°C and partly cloudy. Oh well, we won’t be returning to this campground, unfortunately.

We had a wonderful vacation here with our two little ones (ages 1 and 3)! We stayed for two weeks in a six-person cottage with air conditioning. Given the heat, the air conditioning was absolutely fantastic.
The park is also beautifully situated on the edge of the nature reserve and has plenty of greenery!

The cottages are basic but still cozy. And they’re equipped with most of the amenities you’d need. Great bathroom, kitchen, refrigerator, etc. The beds were comfortable, too.

The facilities at the park were great. The water play area was a huge hit. On hot days, it even opens earlier in the morning. There are many playgrounds on the grounds, each offering something different. Slides of various heights, merry-go-rounds, a pulley, climbing structures, a bouncy castle, etc.
Everything was very clean and well-maintained!

The staff was also truly top-notch. Very friendly and always willing to help. For example, they gave great advice on activities we could do with the kids.
Our dishwasher broke down once and was repaired the very same day. They even took our youngest’s afternoon naps into account! And afterward, the repairman even gave our kids a bubble blower.

We rented bikes for two days: one electric cargo bike and one regular electric bike. Great bikes, well-maintained. They have a variety of routes you can follow through the beautiful surrounding area. Highly recommended :)

The only downside is the wooden decking found in almost all the cottages; it tends to splinter quite a bit! Something to watch out for, especially with kids :)
