The Papendaal lodge is a spacious glamping lodge that gives you the real camping feeling with the amenities of home. The glamping lodge is suitable for four people and can be entered with a few steps. In the living area you will find a dining area with a modern kitchen, which is equipped with, among other things, a refrigerator, freezer and 4-burner stove. The Papendaal lodge has two bedrooms with double beds. 1 bedroom is located on the ground floor and 1 in the sleeping loft, which can be reached by a ladder. EuroParcs Hoge Kempen is beautifully located in Belgian Limburg, on the edge of the Hoge Kempen National Park and just across the Dutch border, close to Maastricht. Enjoy a relaxing vacation in the beautiful countryside abroad. What makes this region special are the challenging biking and hiking trails.     We booked the campsite for New Year's Eve as it is advertised as a "no firecrackers" and a nature reserve. Everything was great except for New Year's Eve. Nobody checked and the nature reserve didn't matter. It was hell for our dog. We could have stayed at home.

    Wir haben den Campingplatz gebucht über Silvester da ja mit „Böllern verboten“ geworben wird und mit Naturschutzgebiet. Alles toll bis auf Silvester. Kein Mensch kontrolliert und Naturschutzgebiet ist dann auch egal. Für unseren Hund war es die Hölle. Da hätten wir auch zuhause bleiben können.

    We enjoyed coming to stay here for years, but after this dramatic stay at Christmas you will NEVER see us back HERE. We went WITHOUT water and WITHOUT electricity during our stay, which is totally unacceptable especially for a park where you pay thousands of dollars. Moreover, the so-called "emergency phone" is NOT reachable, which is downright outrageous when you really need help. And when you finally speak to someone at the front desk, all you get are grumpy faces and zero helpfulness. The new staff is a huge downgrade for such a beautiful park, really a downgrade. The park manager was practically untraceable during our entire stay. Taking responsibility doesn't seem to know anyone here. We are deeply disappointed and feel totally not taken seriously. Our vacation is ruined and we make a conscious decision never to spend another penny here. Rather spend your money somewhere where service, safety and customer friendliness do exist.

    Wij kwamen hier jarenlang met plezier logeren, maar na dit dramatische verblijf met kerst zien jullie ons HIER NOOIT MEER TERUG. We hebben tijdens ons verblijf ZONDER water en ZONDER stroom gezeten, wat totaal onacceptabel is zeker voor een park waar je duizenden euro’s betaalt. De zogenaamde “noodtelefoon” is bovendien NIET bereikbaar, wat ronduit schandalig is wanneer je echt hulp nodig hebt. En als je dan eindelijk iemand aan de balie spreekt, krijg je alleen maar chagrijnige gezichten en nul behulpzaamheid. Het nieuwe personeel is een enorme achteruitgang voor zo’n mooi park, echt een downgrade. De parkverantwoordelijke was tijdens ons hele verblijf praktisch onvindbaar. Verantwoordelijkheid nemen lijkt hier niemand te kennen. Wij zijn diep teleurgesteld en voelen ons totaal niet serieus genomen. Onze vakantie is verpest en wij kiezen er bewust voor hier nooit meer een cent uit te geven. Besteed je geld liever ergens waar service, veiligheid en klantvriendelijkheid wel bestaan.

    We stayed here for four nights during the Christmas vacations as a base for visiting Maastricht, Valkenburg and Hasselt. We are very enthusiastic about this park. We had a wonderful accommodation: cottage Lieteberg Cottage. It is a four-person cottage and we usually find those cramped for four people (two adults and two children) but this cottage is so pleasantly laid out that it was spacious. Nicely furnished and very clean, nice beds. The park looks nice. Nice playground with bouncy castle. We did not use anything else, but we would definitely book this again.

    Wij hebben hier vier nachten verbleven in de kerstvakantie, als uitvalsbasis voor bezoek aan Maastricht, Valkenburg en Hasselt. We zijn erg enthousiast over dit park. We hadden een prachtige accommodatie: huisje Lieteberg Cottage. Het is een vierpersoons huisje en die vinden we meestal krap voor vier personen (twee volwassenen en twee kinderen) maar dit huisje is zo prettig ingedeeld dat het ruim was. Mooi ingericht en erg schoon, lekkere bedden. Het park ziet er mooi uit. Leuke speeltuin met springkussen. We hebben verder nergens gebruik van gemaakt, maar we zouden dit zeker nog eens boeken.

    Very nice and modern cottages. Park looks well cared for with a nice playground. Brasserie is top notch! Barrier only closed at 10pm every day. Found this out Saturday afternoon, called that we would just not make it because we were far away. Asked if something was possible because we had 2 disabled people and 2 small children with us. But gruff and nothing was possible. Unfortunately cottage also at the far end of the park and parts poorly lit. That was no fun. For us a wise lesson to take into account, but the park may be a little more flexible in this regard and perhaps review these times, especially on weekends.

    Heel mooie en moderne huisjes. Park ziet er verzorgd uit met een mooie speeltuin. Brasserie is top! Slagboom alleen om 22u al dicht, iedere dag. Kwamen hier zaterdagmiddag achter, gebeld dat we dat net niet zouden redden omdat we ver uit de buurt waren. Gevraagd of er iets mogelijk was omdat we 2 minder valide personen en 2 kleine kinderen bij ons hadden. Maar kortaf en er was niks mogelijk. Helaas huisje ook aan het uiterste deel van het park en delen slecht verlicht. Dat was geen pretje. Voor ons een wijze les om rekening mee te houden, maar het park mag wat dat betreft iets flexibeler zijn en wellicht deze tijden nog eens herzien, zeker in het weekend.
