Summary created out of 330 reviews

EuroParcs Hoge Kempen is beautifully situated in the heart of nature and offers a peaceful base for those looking to enjoy the surroundings. The park is appreciated for its central location near Maastricht, Genk and Hasselt, with many walking and cycling routes starting directly from the park. Guests praise the friendly staff and modern facilities such as the free spray park, playgrounds and access to the outdoor swimming pool across the road. However, there are areas for improvement regarding information provision, cleanliness, the absence of an on-site shop and the restaurant's opening hours.

Park: Looks neat and well-maintained, with no litter or trash.

Room: The cottage is a good size and fully equipped. It was also clean upon arrival.
The outdoor terrace also has plenty of space, which is nice when traveling with children.

    Facilities:
They’ve really let things slide here.
The sandwich service ordered a day in advance works reasonably well, but sandwiches can’t be picked up until 8:30 a.m. There’s also a chance that not everything will be ready by then.

    Dining:
There’s one brasserie with a terrace on the edge of the grounds, and that’s it. It doesn’t open until 12:00, so you can’t get a cup of coffee or anything else there. There’s also not enough staff to handle the lunch rush, which often means you have to wait longer or don’t get served at all.
I had dinner there once, and it was just fine.

Small store: very sparse. Just a few cans and a pack of coffee. No basic supplies. Ice cream from Aldi sold for 4 euros.
This one also doesn’t open until 12:00.

    Spray park:
Fun for the little ones; when the spray park is open, the indoor area is closed—even when it’s cloudy and cold.
There’s also not much in the way of play facilities for the kids. There’s a playground with a zip line and a bouncy castle at the end of the park, and at the beginning there’s a zip line with a slide and a soccer cage.

    Swimming pool:
    It’s across from the park.
The swimming water is cold but clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of play activities for the kids.
The food service there is a bit like a cafeteria, but the quality is good.
Admission costs 7.50 per person for the entire stay.

Overall, we had a decent vacation. The cottage made up for a lot.
The park doesn’t offer enough entertainment for the kids. And the facilities are poorly organized compared to other parks.

There’s still a lot of work to be done on the restaurant and bar area there; there aren’t enough staff, so customers have to wait too long for their orders, and as a result, people get up and go somewhere else—which is a real shame for such a beautiful location. My conclusion: poor management.

Nice little cottages with comfortable beds. The air conditioning is a nice touch when it gets really hot. 4 stars for the room due to a persistent, pungent sewer smell in the bathroom. According to the front desk, this was due to the dry weather.
The water park is great fun for younger children, with lounge chairs for the adults. Otherwise, the park is well-maintained and clean.
We found dinner at the restaurant to be very mediocre and too expensive.

A really nice park! There’s plenty to do in the area. You can visit Maasmechelen Village, go biking along the water, go for a walk, … . The accommodations were great, too! You had everything you needed.

We stayed there one night in our camper. The campground is very beautiful and close to nature. It’s in a great location if you want to visit the national park. The restrooms were top-notch. However, the store was practically nonexistent, and the service at the restaurant was rather unfriendly.
