Looking for a laid-back hideaway with your group of friends? Ard Zen is a cozy chalet tucked away in a private garden of over 1000 m² – perfect for chilling, catching up and doing absolutely nothing… or a lot, if you want.

Inside, you’ll find a spacious living room with an open kitchen and a big dining table where everyone can cook, eat and hang out together. Above the kitchen there’s a comfy mezzanine lounge corner: an ideal spot for late-night chats, a board game, or a quiet moment with a book.

The chalet has 4 bedrooms and sleeps up to 8 people, so it’s great for a group of friends or two families travelling together. On the ground floor you’ll find 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub – perfect for a relaxed soak after a day outside. The other 2 bedrooms are on the first floor and each has a double tatami bed, which fits perfectly with the zen vibe of the house.

Wellness fans are in the right place here. There’s a sauna for 2 people with its own shower, plus an indoor whirlpool for 5 persons on the terrace. Whether it’s after a long hike or just because you feel like it, you can end every day bubbling away under the stars.

Ard Zen is within walking distance of Noiseux and the river Ourthe, so you can easily head out for a morning walk, a picnic by the water or a relaxed bike ride. The surroundings are made for hiking and cycling, and if you feel like a swim, there’s a public swimming pool about 10 km away. Public transport is also around 10 km, handy if you want to explore the region without using the car.

With its private garden, zen design and all the comfort you need, Ard Zen is a peaceful base to escape the daily rush – yet close enough to nature and small villages to keep every day interesting.

    In itself we made something of it but the cottage was really dirty. There were life-size spider rays hanging from the ceiling. Jacuzzi had some kind of caked on sand in it, it seemed. Floors had not been mopped throughout the house times, a BBQ you really can't eat from, toenail residue in the bedroom, full vacuum cleaner and clogged hose so we couldn't do much ourselves either. Called and if we were in the neighborhood we could get a bag at the reception...furthermore good to know that if you have your car fully loaded you have to take and return your bed linen yourself at the reception where you get the key, this also applies to the high chair and towels, this last we knew but the rest I found a bit strange. Oh yeah, not to forget...you have to take your garbage back to the reception..as if outside of the bed linens, towels and high chair, that fits too.... We took pictures of everything to send them back again. I am actually not someone who complains easily but there were 7 of us and everyone was shocked. If everything had been clean it would have been a really nice house.

    Op zich hebben we er iets van gemaakt maar het huisje was echt smerig. Er hingen levensgrote spinnen raggen aan het plafond. Jacuzzi zat een soort aangekoekte zandlaag in, zo leek het. Vloeren waren door het hele huis tijden niet gedweild, een BBQ waar je echt niet van kunt eten, teennagel resten in de slaapkamer, volle stofzuiger en verstopte slang dus zelf konden we ook weinig. Gebeld en als we in de buurt waren konden we een zak halen bij de receptie…verder goed om te weten dat als je je auto volgeladen hebt je bij de receptie waar je de sleutel haalt je bedlinnen zelf moet meenemen en terugbrengen, dit geldt ook voor de kinderstoel en handdoeken, dit laatste wisten we maar de rest vond ik wel wat vreemd. Oh ja, niet te vergeten… je moet je afval mee terugnemen naar de receptie..alsof dat buiten het bedlinnen, de handdoeken en de kinderstoel ook nog wel past.. We hebben overal foto’s van gemaakt om deze nog eens na te sturen. Ik ben eigenlijk totaal niet iemand die snel klaagt maar we waren met 7 personen en iedereen was geschrokken. Als het allemaal schoon was geweest was het echt wel een fijn huisje geweest.

    Nice cottage. Unfortunately some things were broken or not present. Bank must be replaced is sagging. No cushions for the dining room sofas unfortunately and a 2 person sofa with 2 chairs. Too few zitpkaatsen for 8 people. Thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi, sauna and fireplace.

    Aardig huisje. Helaas waren een aantal dingen kapot of niet aanwezig. Bank moet wel vervangen worden is doorgezakt. Geen kussens voor de eetkamer banken helaas en een 2 persoons bankje met 2 stoelen. Te weinig zitpkaatsen voor 8 personen. Wel enorm genoten van de jacuzzi, sauna en open haard.

    The cottage was not or very poorly cleaned. Coat racks hang loose, no free outlet to connect floor lamp, very few free sockets, operation stop sinks of kitchen does not work, mold on woodwork, water softener squeaked all the time (had to be refilled with salt), far too few hangers. The inside of the cottage could use some freshening up. I did not use the closet, looked dirty and a weird smell.

    Het huisje was niet of zeer slecht gekuist. Kapstokjes hangen los, geen vrij stopcontact om staande lamp aan te sluiten, zeer weinig vrije stopcontacten, bediening stoppen spoelbakken van keuken werkt niet, schimmel op houtwerk, waterontharder piepte heel de tijd ( moest bijgevuld worden met zout ), veel te weinig kleerhangers. De binnenkant van het huisje mag wel eens opgefrist worden. De kleerkast heb ik niet gebruikt, zag er vies uit en een raar geurtje.

    Picking up the key went absolutely super. The cottage could use some refurbishing. The steam shower did not work and the TV did not work. Everything else was clean. We had a very nice stay
