Looking for a cosy hideaway in the Ardennes with your favourite people? Chalet des Bois is a freshly renovated forest chalet for up to 6 guests, just 10 km from Durbuy. It’s the ideal base for a relaxed friends’ trip with good food, nature and long evenings in the hot tub.

Inside, you’ll find a spacious and bright living room where you can chill together after a day outside. Sink into the comfy sofa, put on your favourite show with Proximus TV, or open a bottle of wine and play some games at the dining table. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped, so whether you’re making a big brunch or a simple pasta, you’ve got everything at hand.

There are three inviting bedrooms, each with a queen-size box spring bed for a great night’s sleep. No more fighting over the best room – they’re all just as comfortable. With two modern bathrooms, both with walk-in showers, everyone can get ready without queueing in the morning.

Step outside and you’re directly on the edge of a huge forest massif that almost stretches all the way to Durbuy. Lace up your hiking boots, hop on your bike or just go for an easy stroll straight from your terrace – no car needed. After your adventures, the highlight is waiting for you at the back of the chalet: a large terrace with a wood-fired hot tub. Heat it up, sink in and enjoy the forest views and fresh Ardennes air until late in the evening.

Despite the peaceful setting, you’re very well connected. The nearby express road takes you to Marche-en-Famenne in about 10 minutes and to the charming streets and terraces of Durbuy in no time. There’s plenty to do nearby: outdoor activities, cosy restaurants, bars and cute shops.

It is a beautiful chalet, located close to a busy road (but hardly disturbing). Next to the chalet, starts a hiking trail, which is nice and quiet. Some minus points: - 1 shower did not drain properly, this is the shower close to the wood storage room. (Suspect that this was already for a while, since the lower kitting does not seal 100%, you notice this on the floor on the spot) - Drain cleaned and flushed with unblocker. - For the hot tub, I was still missing a floating chlorine distributor (seems to me to be recommended anyway) (Hot tub was not 100% clean upon arrival, big culprit here is the tree under which it stands, possibly pruning? :) All easily remedied and further enjoyed a nice vacation in a beautiful chalet. Near enough stores and attractions! Nearby walks (petit-han - Durbuy), Noiseux very inviting, the walk in Somme Leuze itself (5km) not really recommended, because 1/2de along busy road without footpath. Hoton also recommended, Hygiene, everything fine, but once the cobwebs away is a must? (considering the 120€ fee) ... It may sound a bit negative, but all in all I give this chalet a big 4 out of 5. Two last tips, is it possible to turn off the sensor in the hallway? Useful with a small baby :), that the light does not turn on automatically. (Description that the chauffauge can be turned on by setting the burner on 2) this was off. We will definitely come back again! Greetings

Het is een mooie chalet, kort gelegen bij een drukke baan (maar stoort amper) Naast de chalet, start een wandelroute, welke wel mooi en rustig is. Enkele minpunten: - 1 douche liep niet goed weg, dit is de douche dicht tegen de opslagruimte van het hout. (Vermoed dat dit al even was, aangezien de onderste kitting niet 100 % afsluit, je merkt dit aan de vloer ter plekke) - Afloopputje gereinigd en doorspoeld met onstoppingsmiddel. - Voor de hottub ontbrak ik toch een drijvende chloorverdeler (lijkt me toch een aanrader) (Hottub was immers niet 100% proper bij aankomst, grote boosdoener hier is de boom waaronder deze staat, eventueel eens bijsnoeien? :) Alles eenvoudig verholpen en verder genoten van een mooie vakantie in een prachtige chalet. In de buurt genoeg winkels en bezienswaardigheden! Nabijgelegen wandelingen (petit-han - Durbuy), Noiseux zéér uitnodigend, de wandeling in Somme Leuze zelf (5km) niet echt een aanrader, wegens 1/2de langs drukke baan zonder voetpad. Hoton ook een aanrader, Hygiëne, alles prima, maar eens de spinnenwebben weghalen is toch wel een must? (gezien de 120€ fee) ... Het klinkt mss wat negatief, maar al bij al geef ik deze chalet een dikke 4 op 5. Nog twee allerlaatste tips, is het mogelijk de sensor in de gang af te zetten? Handig bij een kleine baby :), dat het licht niet automatisch aanspringt. (Beschrijving dat de chauffauge aan te zetten is via de brander op 2 te plaatsen) deze stond af. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug! Groeten

It is a beautiful, spacious and modern chalet. Most of the receptionists were helpful and customer friendly. But unfortunately with some less good points too. There is within earshot (and quite a bit visible) a freeway that had traffic racing at 120km/h. There were a number of things that were not fully working (remote control TV, blocked shutter). The hot tub also had an unpleasant smell and was not completely clean. One of the rooms smelled of dog, the smell lingered throughout the stay after regularly airing out the room. The chalet was pricey, but had the above points not been present and had, for example, some of the firewood to be used been included in the price, it would have been well worth the money.

Het is een mooie, ruime en modern ingerichte chalet. De meeste receptionisten waren behulpzaam en klantvriendelijk. Maar jammer genoeg met ook een aantal minder goede punten. Er ligt op gehoorsafstand (en een stuk zichtbaar) een autobaan waar verkeer over raasde van 120km/u. Er waren een aantal zaken die niet volledig werkten (afstandsbediening tv, geblokkeerde rolluik). Ook de hottub had een onaangename geur en was niet volledig proper. Eén van de kamers rook naar hond, de geur is het hele verblijf bijven hangen mits regelmatig de ruimte te hebben laten verluchten. De chalet was prijzig, maar moesten bovenstaande punten niet aanwezig zijn en moest bijvoorbeeld een gedeelte van het te gebruiken brandhout in de prijs zitten, dan zou dit zijn geld dubbel en dik waard zijn geweest.

Beautiful cottage! Everything looks good, and the kitchen is very complete. The area, nice and secluded, is also beautiful. We had forgotten toilet rolls, which unfortunately were not in the cottage. We had to get them at a supermarket after our arrival. There was also no wood for the hot tub. We found it difficult to estimate how much wood we needed and therefore did not fully enjoy the hot tub (for 20 euros wood bought in a small supermarket). Therefore no five stars.

Mooi huisje! Alles ziet er goed uit, en de keuken is erg compleet. De omgeving, lekker afgelegen, is ook mooi. We waren wcrollen vergeten, die lagen helaas niet in het huisje. Die moesten wij na aankomst nog gauw bij een supermarkt halen. Ook lag er geen hout voor de hottub. Zelf vonden we lastig in te schatten hoeveel hout we nodig hadden en hebben daardoor niet optimaal van de hottub kunnen genieten (voor 20 euro hout gekocht in een klein supermarktje). Daarom geen vijf sterren.
