This cosy houseboat lies on a private 2-hectare lake surrounded by forest. The lake is packed with carp, pike, tench and other fish, so it’s a dream spot if you love fishing – or simply want to relax by the water. Thanks to the roof terrace and private jetty, you’re always close to the lake: perfect for night fishing, a quiet drink at sunset, or an early-morning coffee while the mist still hangs over the water.

On the terrace and patio you can linger outside until late, sharing snacks under a sky full of stars. The only soundtrack is the gentle ripple of the lake and the sounds of the surrounding woodland – ideal if you’re craving silence and space.

Fancy stretching your legs? From your door you can walk or cycle straight into nature. There are beautiful trails for hiking, cycling and even horseback riding. On the property you’ll also meet friendly animals like horses and donkeys, which add to the relaxed, countryside feel.

Even though you’re surrounded by nature, you’re not cut off from the world. The nearest town centre with shops, cafés and restaurants is only about 1 km away, so you can easily go out for dinner or pick up fresh treats for breakfast. Want a day trip? Charleroi and Namur are both within an hour’s drive.

Anglers should know that this is a pure catch-and-release lake. All fish must be returned carefully to the water. Use a soft unhooking mat, handle the fish gently, keep them out of the water for a maximum of two minutes for photos, and apply a little antibiotic if there’s a small wound. This way, you help keep the lake healthy for the next time you visit.
