    Cancellation Policy


    In case of full or partial cancellation, possible only by mail or letter (receipt date = cancellation date), the following fees will be charged:

    • Up to and including 57 days before the beginning of the stay period: €50 per file.
    • From 56 to 43 days before the beginning of the stay: 25% of the rent with a minimum of € 50.
    • From 42 to 22 days before the beginning of the period of stay: 50% of the rent with a minimum of € 50.
    • From 21 to 8 days before the beginning of the stay: 75% of the rent with a minimum of € 50.
    • In case of cancellation 7 days or less before the beginning of the stay, as well as in case of no arrival: the full rent with a minimum of € 50.
    • In case of non-arrival without notice, the reserved place/lodge will be kept free until 1 night later than announced: the following day the place/lodge will be relet. No sum will be refunded in case of "no show", whatever the reason may be.

    Management doesn't read reviews here, at least never read a sorry one, so be sure to fill out the survey! Amai, I would have liked to be a fly here this summer. Are you in the area at sanitary 2? Then know that there are only 3 toilets and 2 showers for about 400 people!!!!!!! Whoever decided this has zero skills and knowledge of camping = strategic incompetence. So disrespectful, boo! Knowing that on those (for now failed) dune sites there are 2! large sanitary blocks while half have private sanitary???? Snappen who can Snappen. Disgusting class system.

Sta je op de zone aan sanitair 2? Weet dan dat er maar 3 toiletten en 2 douches zijn voor ca. 400 pers!!!!!!! Wie dit heeft beslist heeft nul vaardigheden en kennis van kamperen = strategische incompetentie. Zo onrespectloos, foei! Wetende dat op die (voorlopig mislukte)duinplekken 2! grote sanitaire blokken staan terwijl de helft een privé sanitair heeft??? Snappen wie Snappen kan. Walgelijk klassensysteem.

    A lovely campsite with friendly and helpful staff. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. The pitches were plenty wide enough. It was only a short distance into Nieuwpoort ( cycle or walk) which was a really lovely little town with plenty of places to eat and drink. We stayed for 3 nights before catching the ferry back from Dunkirk. Highly recommend.

    I worked at Compass Campground, but my experience as an employee was very disappointing. After weeks of hard work and doing my best, I was suddenly told via email that I was "no longer needed" because it was supposedly calm low season. No personal interview, no explanation, nothing - just a short email. I find it very disrespectful to treat people this way. No effort or performance was considered, just convenience. It felt like just being expendable, without any understanding or humanity. As an employer, this really shows Kompas Camping how little they care about their staff. Dismissal via email, without honest conversation or appreciation, I find anything but professional. Therefore, I would not recommend Kompas Camping to anyone looking for a decent and respectful work experience.

    Ik heb bij Kompas Camping gewerkt, maar mijn ervaring als werknemer was erg teleurstellend. Na weken hard werken en mijn best doen, kreeg ik plots via e-mail te horen dat ik “niet meer nodig was” omdat het zogezegd kalm laagseizoen was. Geen persoonlijk gesprek, geen uitleg, niets – gewoon een korte mail. Ik vind het erg respectloos om mensen op zo’n manier te behandelen. Er werd niet gekeken naar inzet of prestaties, enkel naar gemak. Het voelde alsof je zomaar vervangbaar bent, zonder enig begrip of menselijkheid. Als werkgever laat Kompas Camping hiermee echt zien hoe weinig ze geven om hun personeel. Ontslag via mail, zonder eerlijk gesprek of waardering, vind ik allesbehalve professioneel. Ik zou Kompas Camping daarom niet aanraden aan wie op zoek is naar een fatsoenlijke en respectvolle werkervaring.
