Istria
Istria, Croatia's heart-shaped peninsula, combines Mediterranean charm with rich history. From the Roman mosaics in Poreč to the colorful streets of Rovinj, every corner tells a story. Enjoy local specialties like truffles and olive oil, or relax by the crystal clear coastlines. With picturesque villages, green hills and a welcoming atmosphere, Istria is a destination that keeps surprising you.

Hum
Hum, known as the smallest town in the world, offers a unique experience. With less than 30 inhabitants and only 12 houses, it feels like stepping back in time. The medieval city walls, old churches and traditional konobas give an authentic picture of Istrian culture. A visit to Hum is a short but memorable journey through history and tradition
Poreč
Poreč, located on the west coast of Istria, is a town where history meets modern life. The old city center houses the famous Euphrasius Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with beautiful Byzantine mosaics. The Roman street layout is still visible, with charming alleys full of stores, cafes and restaurants. Along the coast you will find numerous beaches with crystal clear waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. For the adventurous traveler, there are opportunities for water sports and cycling routes through the surrounding nature. At night, the town comes alive with cultural events, local markets and a lively atmosphere. Poreč offers a diverse experience that allows for both relaxation and discovery.
Rovinj
Rovinj, located on the west coast of Istria, is known for its colorful houses and lively atmosphere. The old town center, situated on a peninsula, has narrow streets leading to the imposing St. Euphemia Church. The lively harbor is filled with traditional fishing boats and offers stunning views of the surrounding islands. Local markets offer fresh produce and crafts, while the many restaurants let you sample Istrian specialties. Art lovers can enjoy the many galleries and open-air exhibitions. With its mix of culture, gastronomy and natural beauty, Rovinj is a destination not to be missed during your trip through Istria.

Nice camp. Prices are not as high as I predicted. Everything clean and nice. Any unnecessery music from pool. Very large camp but actually peacefull. Maybe the Zelena Laguna camp has better beaches, but this one has better pool I think. Ideal place for families.

Great campground... everything you need is there... spent 16 wonderful days there... the upper section was completely renovated last year... all the Croatians were super friendly... great service... it's very easy to bike to Funtana (8 min.) to shop at a large supermarket...You can take a tourist train to Poreč (4 euros/person). A very pretty, colorful little town... good food... nice shopping street. We highly recommend the Bijela Uvala campground. We all felt very comfortable there, including our dog.

We’re currently here, though we’re parked in a spot. Yes, the campground is very large and sprawling. The different areas are marked with letters. Unfortunately, the white lettering on a light blue background makes the areas a bit hard to spot. My tip: Mark the areas more prominently—put a big sign by the road saying Area A, B, etc. But the new wash houses are amazing. Very clean, and they’re cleaned regularly. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach in some spots. But there are several pools. There is some childcare available for families; I can’t say to what extent or for how long, since we no longer have small children. There are plenty of playgrounds all over the campground. Every evening at 8 p.m. there’s a kids’ disco. I do miss a few things, though—like movie nights, a quiz night, etc.—just something for adults. Prices in the restaurants and the store are comparable to those in Germany.

I immediately felt right at home again, even though there have been a lot of changes, additions, and renovations over the past few years.

It was our first time at the campground, and most likely our last. We were very disappointed. For a 4-star campground, the hygiene in the restrooms was definitely lacking. We ordered from a restaurant inside the campground right past the reception desk by the pool; we paid a whopping €60 for 4 pizzas and a beer to go! On top of that, the pizza tasted awful—a total rip-off. The campground store was also very overpriced. The lady at the reception desk when we checked in also seemed very annoyed. We didn’t receive any flyers or information about what the campground has to offer or nearby tourist attractions. We really expected more. Such a shame. The only thing that was really commendable was the nice young blonde lady at the playground for the kids. (Next to the supermarket) and the playgrounds were also very clean! Too bad

Schade
