Looking for a unique group getaway in Norway? This floating holiday cottage near Fiskholmen is one you’ll talk about for years. It’s the larger of two floating houses in the bay and offers space for up to 8 people – perfect for a friends’ trip with a twist.

You’re literally staying on the water, in a cosy and comfortable cottage that sits rock solid on large floats in a sheltered bay. Thanks to its clever triangular design and heavy construction, the house stays completely stable, even when the weather picks up. No bobbing, no seasickness – just peace, views and fresh sea air.

Inside you’ll find a single-level, well‑designed living space of 75 m² with 3 bedrooms and a functional kitchen with gas stove. The living room is stylishly furnished, with large glass windows so you can enjoy the sea view from the sofa. On cooler days you can switch on the gas fireplace and on warmer days the heat pump doubles as air conditioning.

Outside is where this place really shines. Around the house you have about 130 m² of open and covered terraces, spread over three verandas connected by covered walkways. There’s plenty of room for everyone to relax, eat together or just hang out with a drink while watching the water. In the evening, spotlights under the house light up the sea beneath you – it’s seriously atmospheric.

Feel like a swim? Jump straight into the water from the terrace and climb back up via the ladder, or head to the shallow swimming spot just 50 metres away on land. Two rowing boats are included, so in just a few strokes you’re on shore, where there’s space for barbecues, swimming and outdoor games like badminton and croquet.

For adventures on the water, you can use the stable motor catamaran (for up to 8 people), shared canoes for 2 and 3 people, plus 4 bicycles on land. Fishing fans are in luck: there are crab traps, a fish net and a private fish cleaning table, with good fishing all year round. Life jackets are included up to 100 kg, and the owner requires everyone to wear one when using the boats.

The cottage is designed to be environmentally friendly, with minimal impact on nature. The bathroom has its own outdoor entrance and you’ll have access to a washing machine on land. This is glamping Norwegian‑style: pure, simple, comfortable and right on the water – ideal for a group of friends who want something truly different.
