This campsite is beautifully situated in a forested area with views over Lake Geneva and the Alps. Guests especially appreciate the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, who actively assist and provide a warm welcome. The location offers tranquility and nature, with direct access to hiking trails and cycling distance to Geneva. The pool is child-friendly and the pizzas and bread service are well-liked, though waiting times can sometimes be long. However, there are areas for improvement: the pool and sanitary facilities need renovation, pitches are on slopes which isn't always ideal, and capacity can be insufficient during busy periods.

★★★★★ An excellent experience at the Huttopia Campground in Divonne

We had a wonderful stay at the Huttopia Campground in Divonne and have very fond memories of it!

The quality of the accommodations really lives up to expectations. We stayed in a trapper tent, which pleasantly surprised us with its level of amenities: everything is perfectly thought out and extremely well-equipped for a unit of this size. You quickly feel right at home there, while fully enjoying the camping atmosphere and a change of scenery.

The setting is calm, relaxing, and a welcome change of pace—ideal for getting away from the daily grind and spending a few days with the family.

But what really stood out to us was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. A team that truly goes out of its way and doesn’t just do its job—it goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable.

Special mention for our little mishap with our sons’ stuffed animals, which we’d left behind. Even though it was already Sunday evening, someone took the time to figure out a way to go pick them up. A gesture that may seem simple, but for parents—and especially for children—makes all the difference. ❤️

A thoughtful staff, a magnificent setting, high-quality accommodations, and a genuine desire to please guests.

We highly recommend the Huttopia Campground in Divonne and will be happy to return! 🌿🏕️❤️

A very bad experience at the Huttopia campground in Divonne-les-Bains. As regular Huttopia guests for the past ten years, we trusted the person who gave us information over the phone and paid the €110 priority fee, thinking we’d found the perfect spot. Upon arrival, we found that the site was indeed shaded, but on a slope, with a “ditch” in the ground. As soon as it started raining, we were flooded. We found a broken pipe in the middle of the site, buried in the ground—it was impossible to pull it out. There’s also a huge pile of rubble right in front of our site that dogs use as a urinal. Two trucks housing workers are parked right above our site. So we felt like we were camping on a construction site, with numerous nuisances: noise, exhaust fumes, and huge clouds of dust billowing up whenever one of the trucks left in the morning and returned in the evening—not to mention the very unpleasant smell of old diesel. These people repeatedly spoke very loudly until 2 a.m. We also noticed that one of the trucks was dumping waste right on the ground. It seemed to us that these people were smoking something other than cigarettes, and we were bothered by sickening odors (probably cannabis). The other sites don’t seem any more pleasant: campers crammed together, very little privacy, and no vegetation to provide separation—unlike the photos on the website. There aren’t enough restroom facilities; you have to wait in line to use the toilet, brush your teeth, or wash your hands. There’s only one restroom for the entire pool area, reception, and common area. Cleanliness isn’t great either: toilet paper rolls are left on the floor instead of being replaced throughout the day. Several restrooms were regularly out of order during our stay. The common area has a completely worn-out and sticky couch; only flies seem to enjoy lounging on it. There are only three washing machines for the entire campground, with no water supply in the room where they’re located. Two laundry tubs for hand-washing are located in another restroom block quite a distance away. The pool is in very poor condition, even unsanitary: the footbath was never cleaned during our entire stay. It’s filled with stagnant, muddy water that no one dares to dip a toe into. The pool liner is peeling away in several places, mold is visible, and the tiles around the edge aren’t level… Finally, the site promises a heated pool: the water is extremely cold—colder than that of Lake Divonne or Lake Geneva! It’s very hard to get in, but the water in the kids’ wading pool is even colder! As for activities, we were once again more than disappointed: the site promises events such as astronomy nights, unique activities like axe throwing, or even cooking workshops (French toast)… During our two-and-a-half-week stay at the campground, none of this was offered to us! Just volleyball tournaments “supervised” by a young person who doesn’t even know the rules and can’t keep score… or yoga sessions: nothing like the activities promised; the camp manager told us that an astronomy night did indeed take place right after we left… so the site touts these activities as if they were regular events, when in fact they only happen once or twice during the season… so there’s little chance you’ll catch one during your stay. What perhaps amazes me the most is that I realize Google reviews—some dating back several years—raise the same issues we encountered, and the only responses given are “we’re sorry,” without anything actually changing on-site. This campground barely measures up to a municipal campground and doesn’t live up to the promises made on the booking site. It’s a far cry from the Huttopia spirit that we usually appreciate so much.
