Guests praise the fantastic location right on the river La Loue, perfect for swimming, canoeing and building dams. The staff is friendly, helpful and responds quickly to requests. The spacious, green pitches offer plenty of privacy and shade, and the swimming pool is a welcome addition. The surrounding area is ideal for trips to waterfalls, cheese dairies and picturesque towns. Points of attention include the sanitary facilities (sometimes not thoroughly cleaned, low water pressure, dated facilities) and the roads with many potholes.

I recommend this campground! The staff was very welcoming! The campsites vary in size (we actually got a large one!). The restrooms were clean (if it weren’t for the spiders, it would have been perfect)! The snack bar is closed at lunchtime! There’s a restaurant at the adventure center (30 seconds from the campground) that’s very good! One minor downside: since the pool is small, it gets crowded, which isn’t very pleasant! Fortunately, there’s access to the river right from the campground! It’s really nice to go for a quick dip there!

We booked two months in advance for two side-by-side RV sites, which were confirmed by phone. We paid the deposit in full. On the day of our arrival, the sites were 200 meters apart, and we couldn’t work anything out with the front desk.
We ended up setting up both RVs on the same site—obviously, there was only one power outlet for the two of us.
We gave up a site for them, but not a single gesture of goodwill, not an apology, not an excuse—nothing.
The pool is in full sun with not a single spot of shade, packed with people, and the water is warm; no special activities were offered.
In short, a mediocre campground—too big; it’s really just about making money, not about people.
I recommend campgrounds on a human scale.this is a translation, click here for the original

A large campground with nice sites, but we were less satisfied with the facilities and the immediate surroundings. The path to the restroom building ran through other campers’ sites. There was no water faucet near our site. And the (older) restrooms weren’t kept very clean. In short, it was just average.

Kortom middelmatig.

A beautiful campground on the Loue... This is my first time at Huttopia, and I get the concept. Natural, simple, with plenty of space for cabins, tents, and campers. We appreciate that there are few RVs and that they’ve set up play areas and gathering spots. The exorbitant prices at the restaurant are annoying—and not even a smart move, since it leads to significantly less spending. Major drawbacks are the lack of Wi-Fi at the campsites and a river that you’re not allowed to enter. We weren’t informed of this when we booked...
