Summary created out of 193 reviews

Guests praise the fantastic location right on the river La Loue, perfect for swimming, canoeing and building dams. The staff is friendly, helpful and responds quickly to requests. The spacious, green pitches offer plenty of privacy and shade, and the swimming pool is a welcome addition. The surrounding area is ideal for trips to waterfalls, cheese dairies and picturesque towns. Points of attention include the sanitary facilities (sometimes not thoroughly cleaned, low water pressure, dated facilities) and the roads with many potholes.

A really fun campground, great entertainment, and very well organized.
Huttopia isn't super luxurious, but it has everything you need. This was our third time at Huttopia, and we'll definitely be coming back. The atmosphere at the campgrounds is always great!

We had a short but wonderful stay at this campground. We stayed in an Arizona-style cabin by the river. There was so much space around the cabin—it was really nice! The kids had a great time catching fish in the river and swimming in the pool. The cabin was very cozy, with a tent cabin on the porch. We were only there for a short time, so we didn’t get to see much of the surrounding area. We did visit a beautiful lake and a waterfall, though. Other than that, I don’t think there’s much else to do.
One area for improvement might be the chairs and tables (bistro set)—they’re not very comfortable. Other than that, no complaints, and we’ll definitely choose Huttopia again next time.

I recommend this campground! The staff was very welcoming! The campsites vary in size (we actually got a large one!). The restrooms were clean (if it weren’t for the spiders, it would have been perfect)! The snack bar is closed at lunchtime! There’s a restaurant at the adventure center (30 seconds from the campground) that’s very good! One minor downside: since the pool is small, it gets crowded, which isn’t very pleasant! Fortunately, there’s access to the river right from the campground! It’s really nice to go for a quick dip there!
    Thanks!

    Merci!

We booked two months in advance for two side-by-side RV sites, which were confirmed by phone. We paid the deposit in full. On the day of our arrival, the sites were 200 meters apart, and we couldn’t work anything out with the front desk.

We ended up setting up both RVs on the same site—obviously, there was only one power outlet for the two of us.

We gave up a site for them, but not a single gesture of goodwill, not an apology, not an excuse—nothing.

The pool is in full sun with not a single spot of shade, packed with people, and the water is warm; no special activities were offered.

In short, a mediocre campground—too big; it’s really just about making money, not about people.

I recommend campgrounds on a human scale.
