Surroundings
Saint-Malo
Saint-Malo was founded in the 12th century and was long the residence of pirates. Later it grew into an important port and today the city is a tourist attraction. From the "walls" leading from the bastion to the tower, you can see the city's narrow streets on one side and a beautiful view of the beaches, port and forts on the other. Paved streets, filled with stores and terraces, run through the historic downtown. The city has its own fort, Fort National, which can be visited at low tide since it is located on an island. Château de la duchesse Anna is now a museum and depicts sea fishing and piracy.
Visit the medieval town of Dinan
A 25-minute drive from the campground is the medieval town of Dinan. With almost 3 kilometers of ramparts and the 14th century castle, the city, which sits on an 80-meter high plateau, towers over the valley of the Rance. Its perfectly preserved old houses and winding streets immediately put you in the medieval atmosphere. Stroll through Rue du Jerzual and the historic center, where you will find quaint workshops, glassblowers and restaurants. Descend to the old port, which is a nice setting for a stroll. Visit the Basilica Saint-Sauveur with its different architectural styles and, of course, Dinan's castle.
Forest of Villecartier
The Forest of Villecartier is an old royal forest of 1,000 hectares full of magnificent beeches and oaks. You will find many trails that take you past the pond, small monuments and impressive trees. Children can enjoy playing, tree climbing and even take a tree climbing course. Sit down at one of the picnic tables and enjoy the peace and natural beauty around you.
Ill-et-Rance canal
The 89 km Ill-et-Rance Canal offers plenty of opportunities where you can enjoy nature. Take a lovely morning walk along the water or get on your bike. The canal is the perfect place to cast your rod for an afternoon of fishing. For those looking for a little more adventure, you can rent a kayak or canoe to take out on the water. You can drive there in half an hour.

Super camping mais le restaurant est une pure honte. Les serveurs sont sympas, mais ce qui est servi ce sont juste des plats réchauffés au micro-onde et des frites surgelées. Ce n'est pas mauvais juste inacceptable face au prix demandé. À 30€/pers on est en droit d'avoir de la vraie cuisine

Gevonden via vrienden die er ook stonden. Waren met 3 kids tussen de 8 en 14. Leuk voetbalveld, overdekt tafeltennis en 2 jeu de boules banen. Vooral de plekken aan de rand van de camping zijn fijn vanwege het hele veld wat je voor beschikbaar hebt om lekker te spelen. Voor onze 14 jarige was het nog net leuk. Zwembad was wel echt heel koud. Even erin en dan weer opwarmen in de zon. Jammer. Toiletten waren echt heel smerig. Zagen schoonmakers soms 1 toilet “schoonmaken “ in een minuut en dan weer aftekenen dat ze geweest waren. Niet zoveel sterren waardige camping.

We verblijven momenteel op deze camping met camperbus en tentjes voor de kinderen. Eerlijk gezegd zijn we aangenaam verrast! Een leuke mengeling tussen nederlanders en engelsen, wij zijn wel de enige belgen voor de moment :-). De kinderen amuseren zich hier rot en komen niets te kort. De standplaatsen zijn ruim en voorzien van water en stroom. De organisatie is ook goed geregeld! Het sanitair is heel proper en wordt meermaals per dag nagekeken en gepoetst, deze lijst hangt ook uit. De camping is geschikt om uitstappen te maken of om lekker te genieten van de faciliteiten van de camping. We verblijven hier nog een aantal dagen maar komen hier heel graag terug!

Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Goed geïnformeerd aan het onthaal. De plaatsen zijn duidelijk afgebakend door hagen. Watertappunten op de plaatsen. De percelen zijn ruim en vlak. Jammer dat er weinig onderhoud aan het sanitair werd gedaan. Het water was soms warm,maar eerder aan de lauwe kant. Er is een mogelijkheid tot wassen en drogen, maar wanneer er een toestel stuk ging, weet je niet wanneer dit hersteld wordt. Dit is nefast in een hoogseizoen. Mooi verzorgd en verwarmd zwembad. Enkel gevaarlijke hoek bij het buitenkomen van het gebouw naar de op- en afrit van de camping. Misschien kan hier een hek of paal geplaatst worden voor de veiligheid van de kinderen. Het restaurant is een aanrader. Animatie is er voldoende aanwezig. Fijn dat je bijna geen geluid hebt van de animatie door het slim inzetten van de gebouwen.

“Une honte pour un soi-disant camping 5 étoiles ! Les sanitaires sont tout simplement dégoûtants : sales, malodorants, jamais nettoyés correctement. Même dans certains campings 3 étoiles, on trouve des installations bien mieux entretenues. Ici, c’est le laisser-aller total. Et pour couronner le tout, pas même d’eau chaude pour se doucher. Inacceptable à ce niveau de gamme. Ce camping ne mérite en aucun cas ses étoiles. C’est de la publicité mensongère.”
