Lodge Prestige on Stilts with Sea view - 9 persons

Nice, green campsite and lodge on stilts with a great sea view. The cleaning of the mobile home was very good, but the terrace was not very clean. The sorting bins are very good. Great accrobranche for the kids. The restaurant at the entrance to the campsite was great. What's more, it was very quiet and relaxing. Overall good, but it's a shame that in May (when the summer season starts) there's no open bar where you can have a drink by the sea. The edge of the small beach is dirty and should be cleaned so that you can go there without risk. Lastly, the pool hours should be rethought so that you can have access until 7pm. Closed at 5pm and 3pm on Wednesdays... Only open Saturday and Sunday until 7pm. I think aquagym and other activities could be done in the morning or between 12 and 2pm so as not to block access in the afternoon, because after a walk or a day at the beach, it would be nice to be able to take a dip (especially the kids) on the way home, at least that's often what's done elsewhere (from what I've seen at other campsites). We missed that. All in all, it's a nice campsite, but it needs a few adjustments to make it the best it can be.

We spent 1 week in May at this campsite, which is large and shady. When we arrived at 5pm, the closed reception was a little early for my taste, but everything was ready for us to take our Natural spa mobile home. New accommodation, nothing to complain about, but no welcome kit, towels are not included in the linen kit, negative point: the jacuzzi is too big, a disaster to get into the mobile home when it's raining because you end up in the mud. The bar was closed, we were warned, but it was being renovated and there were no safety barriers because the electric wires were on the ground. The pool was just heated, the old guardrail was not removed and the windows were broken, so you can imagine if a child was injured. Brand new play area, clean laundry with recent machines. We used the recharging point inside the campsite without any problems and at a very reasonable rate. We didn't see any security guards at 10pm or 4am. There's still a lot of work to be done to make this a true 4-star campsite.

Overall pleasant stay at Camping Merendella. The setting is magnificent, with direct access to the sea, and the atmosphere is relaxing and family-friendly. Too much privacy for "prestige" accommodation. A few points for improvement: no activities for children aged 2-3 (rather from age 6 upwards), a paddling pool that was too cold even though it was April... I found myself perched on the adventure course so that my children could have a minimum of fun and a few minor inconveniences during the stay, too many interventions near or in the accommodation (jacuzzi, work, fire safety). The reception is correct but could be more attentive. Despite everything, we had a good stay. With a few adjustments, the experience would be even better, especially for families with young children.

The stay was totally out of line with what is advertised for a 4-star campsite. Comfort" mobile home rented for €80/night in a disgraceful state: dilapidated equipment, rusty refrigerator, bedding out of order. The level of service is far from the expected standards and the commercial description. The situation was exacerbated by a major disaster on the very first night: a major water leak flooded the mobile home, damaging our personal belongings and making the accommodation unfit for use. Despite this, no suitable solution was proposed: refusal of immediate rehousing technical intervention on site, forcing us to stay in unsanitary accommodation loss of an entire morning to deal with a problem that was not our responsibility No commercial gesture, no responsibility for damages (especially wet linen), which is the minimum expected in this type of situation. In addition, many of the services advertised are not available in April (activities closed), without clear information at the time of booking. The advertised "beach" does not correspond to reality; it's a dirty pier where you don't want to land at all. These elements clearly raise the question of the conformity of the service with regard to the legal obligations of the rental company (decent accommodation, conforming to the description and with no major defects). As it stands, we absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

Heaven on earth! Thank you to the staff, thank you to everyone who was there, we had an excellent time and we recommend you 100%.

Very disappointed with our stay at camping Merendella. We had booked a "privilege" pitch, but the basic infrastructure was not functional: neither of the two nearby toilet blocks was in service, and access to the pitch was complicated by a trench. We had to demand essential services for which we had paid: electricity, sanitary facilities, accessible land, etc. This is not acceptable. This is not acceptable. Let's not even mention the state of the few operational sanitary facilities... shameful! Most frustrating of all was the way our problem was not taken into account: answers were not given in response to our complaint, we were redirected to an e-mail address, only to receive an answer from the same reception desk, with no solution in sight. The sooner we left reception, the better: "here, contact this e-mail address, they'll reply quickly". In the end, it was... them, and they had no intention of replying to our e-mail. I give the room 1 star because, fortunately for them, our location was by the sea and it's true that the sea is beautiful...! Apart from that... 130 € for 2 nights in a van, for this level of service: to be avoided. More than a week to get my deposit back, which is frozen in my bank account? Unconcerned staff, with an obvious lack of consideration. Campsite belonging to a large chain, with no human dimension. To be avoided.
