Looking for a cosy chalet in the French countryside where you can fully unwind? At Remschweiler you stay in a comfortable wooden chalet with private sauna, large wooden terrace and a green garden – perfect for a relaxed break in the Northern Vosges.

This small Austrian-style chalet was completely renovated in 2017 and is cleverly laid out and well equipped. Inside you’ll find a snug living area where you can curl up after a day outside. In winter you can warm up with a raclette or cheese fondue, while the private sauna makes your stay feel extra luxurious. In summer, slide open the door and step straight onto the spacious wooden terrace: ideal for reading a book, enjoying long lazy breakfasts or an evening drink as the sun sets.

The chalet is located along the road to Bitche, so you’re not completely isolated, yet still surrounded by nature. Nearby you’ll find a beautiful car-free cycle path that connects Bitche with the German border – great for a relaxed bike ride through the countryside. Love walking? Discover the many forest trails or stroll around the scenic ponds of Hasselfurth (about 8 km) and Haspelschiedt (about 7 km), where you’ll also find a bathing beach for a refreshing swim on warm days.

Bitche, just 7 km away, is a small and friendly town with several good restaurants, shops, supermarkets and historic ramparts. In summer there are often events and local activities – nice if you want a mix of nature, culture and good food. Fancy a day trip? Pop over the border to Zweibrücken in Germany (about 25 km) or plan a day in Strasbourg (around 80 km) for some sightseeing, shopping and terraces.
