Beautiful location, but we're covered in itchy bites from the oak processionary caterpillar.

There are some great things about this campground, and others... not so much. On the plus side, the setting is incredible. You sleep under the trees, sheltered from the wind and sun, with the sound of birds singing to wake you up. The staff is welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. The bare campsites are pretty decent, even if some leave something to be desired and almost serve as a path to cross the campground. The pastries in the morning are good, and the pizzas in the evening are more than decent. The restrooms are clean. On the other hand, a lot of things are wrong: - The water pressure in the showers is sometimes barely adequate, especially if they’re all being used at the same time. It’s almost impossible to rinse off properly. - There really aren’t enough lounge chairs by the pool, even though there’s plenty of space - The campsites are dirty; there’s trash lying around - Worst of all, THE NOISE. You’re not to blame for your guests’ lack of civility and respect, but you need to ensure that peace and quiet are maintained. People were screaming and laughing loudly at 1 a.m., and cars were driving by at 5 a.m. We can call the emergency number if there’s a problem, but we shouldn’t actually need to—aren’t you supposed to be patrolling at night? When you’re sleeping in a tent, there’s no rest here. The proximity to the highway doesn’t help the lack of peace and quiet either... In short, I’m not sure I’ll come back or recommend it.

This is my second time staying at Huttopia Rambouillet, and it certainly won’t be my last! I booked a campsite for a weekend in a tent, and everything went very smoothly. The service is truly top-notch: the staff is welcoming, helpful, and attentive. The restrooms are clean, the setting is pleasant, and it’s perfect for unwinding over a weekend. I highly recommend it!
