In 2008 we vacationed at this campsite through VacanSoleil. In short, we had a super vacation there. Now we are several years further and still have this fine campsite in our thoughts. Reason enough to go back again in May 2026. We had intended to book there but got a French-speaking young man on the phone who spoke little or no English. Sent Email was his pronunciation. We did that but got no response. Ended up booking another campsite, nearby. Needless to say, we stopped by the Le Ceou on May 23. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. There is nothing left of the beautiful campsite as we remembered it. Very disappointing. Meanwhile, since 2014 the Dutch owner left and there was a French organization under a different name (nevertheless, the more than 20 years old sign Le Ceou, 3 stars, was still there) The reception was in a beautifully refurbished little building with everything, but that was all. The restaurant, The Tavern, was closed, the grounds were cluttered with lots of weeds no chairs no tables, nothing nothing but nothing. I won't say anything about the cottages built up against the hillside because I didn't see them, but the campground across the road was a mess. No clear camping sites. Grass very overgrown to sometimes hip height the only toilet block you had to make your way through this tall grass. Also the soccer field and RV sites were overgrown and unusable. Finally, the pool was "EMPTY" and somewhat overgrown by weeds. Here you could clearly see the onset of decay. It did not look like this would change in the coming weeks, months, Despite the start of the vacation season. So the campsite is definitely not worthy of three stars (not even 1) We were glad we had not booked there. Because while there were so they just booked pitches, because we were asked if we wanted to book. Our answer was very clearly NO. The website all looks very different. I am afraid that people will soon be disappointed, after bookings, because they sell this campground as a child-friendly campground and this it is far from...... This is cheating. Finally what is the purpose of this more or less complaint that people book drive to it and come out disappointed/deceived. The young man at the reception did not care at all. Ferry and Monique.

Ons antwoord was heel duidelijk NEE.

Good welcome, friendly, relaxed person with good advice for visits. Campsite well placed geographically. Mobil home 6 pers sufficient for 3 ad 1 enf. We toured the campsite, which is derelict both upstairs and downstairs: wooden terraces, garden furniture dirty, slippery, mossy, broken gates non-existent, entrance and pathways degraded ground, we found posts and fencing abandoned, side restaurant (closed) everything is dirty, broken, old, the pool empty, not cleaned and its slide, the trampoline has holes in it, the children's playground is covered in vegetation, there's tall grass everywhere, the hedges haven't been trimmed, loose equipment is stored in a bungatoile, the downstairs toilets and showers, which look new, don't work, there's no water, the marker lights are broken. A ghostly campsite with great potential, but abandoned.
