Pleasantly surprised……
A very clean, pleasant, and fun campground on the beautiful Lake Pareloup. We enjoyed the hospitality, the very helpful staff, and the clean restrooms. We had a delicious meal at the restaurant. Entertainment also in Dutch, a swimming pool, a terrace… And of course, Alain Karalain for the karaoke night.

Awesome! We’ll be back.

We stayed for 15 days on a campsite at this campground, and the site was very large—we were able to park our van, our trailer, as well as our living tent and other equipment. Each site has its own water spigot, which I think is great.
The campground is very large and offers several amenities, including dining options (on-site or takeout, and good value for the price) and a fairly large grocery store with some fresh and frozen items. Personally, this is the first time I’ve seen fresh produce in a campground grocery store, and it’s great for when you need something in a pinch. you can order bread and pastries, which are very good—you have to order the day before for the next day.
The restrooms are very nice, which is pretty rare at a campground, and they’re cleaned several times a day, so they stay clean all day long.
The campground has a large playground and a dedicated parking area for all kinds of trailers—which I think is really great if you want to save space on your campsite or simply don’t want to leave the trailer hitched to your car for the entire stay.
There’s also a laundry facility that works very well—we used it.
There’s also a wellness area, a teen club, a kids’ club for the little ones, plenty of activities, and local farmers who come to the campground to sell their products. This 5-star campground truly deserves its 5 stars, and the staff is very friendly.
I recommend this campground to anyone who wants to enjoy Lake Pareloup in the Aveyron region.

The Camping des Genêts is quiet, clean, and located on the shores of Lake Pareloup. It has a grocery store that doesn’t carry fresh produce, but a fruit and vegetable market is held once a week. There’s a supermarket a few kilometers away. There’s a 1.1-meter-deep pool with a small slide next to the restaurant and the front desk. The front desk is open all day, staffed by friendly people who provide information and help with any requests. There are plenty of play areas for children up to age 12 (inflatable structures, ping pong, a playground, a slide, swings, etc.). The large lake also features an inflatable structure for teens, and you can rent pedal boats, paddleboards, and boats. Generally, from Monday through Friday, there are two morning sports activities each day (aqua aerobics, yoga, step, etc.). In the afternoon, a game is organized (quiz, pétanque, soccer, etc.). At 6 p.m., there’s an aperitif game, and at 9 p.m., there might be a game, a show, a karaoke night, etc. All these activities are led by a friendly team of activity leaders. The Cool n Camp app provides the schedule and other information. The mobile home is in very good condition and fully functional, but there’s no air conditioning at this campground (the altitude and the lake help keep things cool). The free Wi-Fi works very well, and the restrooms are brand-new and very clean. The mobile homes are very close to one another. There aren’t quite enough trees to provide shade. There were no mosquitoes. The restaurant offers good quality food and a variety of choices. There aren’t many attractions nearby; you’ll need to plan on at least a 40-minute drive.

Nice campground, but the management is very haughty and unpleasant! We won't be coming back. Too bad.
