Wake up on the water in Floating House 1 – Classic, a cosy houseboat for up to 5 people in the harbour of Barth. Your floating holiday home lies in a separate, quieter part of the marina, so you enjoy lots of peace and nature, yet you’re only a short stroll from the historic old town and lively city harbour.

From the upper deck you have a wonderful, wide view over the Bodden lagoon. Start your day with a coffee while the water gently ripples around you, and finish it with a drink as the sun sets over the harbour. Each houseboat has its own small wooden hut on the jetty, ideal for safely storing your bikes or beach gear. A handcart is available on site, so moving your luggage from car to boat is easy and relaxed.

Your stay includes final cleaning, WiFi (limited in the harbour) and a parking space, so you can arrive, unpack and immediately switch to holiday mode. With 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, this floating home is a great fit for families or a small group of friends looking for something a bit more special than a standard apartment.

Fancy a swim? There’s a small guarded beach on the Bodden on the edge of Barth – perfect for a quick dip or a lazy afternoon by the water. If you’re dreaming of long sandy beaches, drive, cycle or hop on a bathing boat to the famous Baltic Sea coast of the Fischland-Darß peninsula, about 10 km away. Here you’ll find endless beaches, charming villages with thatched-roof houses and a laid-back seaside vibe.

The sheltered waters around Barth are a paradise for anyone who loves being on or in the water: go fishing, sailing, surfing, motorboating, swimming, rowing or paddling. In and around Barth you’ll also find plenty of options for sports, day trips and family-friendly activities.

Within a few minutes’ walk from your houseboat you reach the city harbour and the centre of Barth. Wander through medieval alleys, admire lovingly restored townhouses and impressive brick Gothic buildings, then relax on the harbour square or promenade. It’s the perfect setting to slow down, enjoy the view and fully unwind.
