Looking for a romantic hideaway on the water? Hausboot Friedrich is a brand-new, stationary houseboat that turns your holiday into a unique lakeside experience. Permanently moored in the charming harbour town of Plau am See, you stay right on Lake Plauer See – literally on the water, yet close to cosy cafés, restaurants and the small-town buzz.

This floating holiday home is made for two. Wake up to gentle ripples against the hull, open the door and step straight out into the fresh lakeside air. From your private terrace you can watch boats glide by, sip your morning coffee or enjoy a glass of wine at sunset. Living on a houseboat means you’re in direct contact with nature all day long, without sacrificing comfort.

On sunny days, head up to the roof terrace. It’s the perfect spot to stretch out with a cool drink, read a book or start the day with a leisurely breakfast in the sun. In the evening, the soft light over the lake creates a wonderfully romantic atmosphere – ideal for couples who want to slow down and reconnect.

Inside, the houseboat is compact but cleverly laid out, with everything you need for a relaxed stay: a comfortable bedroom, a bathroom and a cosy living area. All consumption-based energy costs are included in your stay, as well as bed linen and towels, so you can travel light and settle in straight away.

Please note: the TV on board only plays DVDs – there are no TV channels. But honestly, with views like this, you probably won’t miss them. Instead, bring a few favourite films, pour a drink and enjoy your own private cinema on the water.

Important: until January 2026 the houseboat is moored in the island town of Malchow, not in Plau am See as shown in some photos. The current images do not reflect the new berth, but you still stay directly on the lake in the beautiful Mecklenburg Lake District.
