General information
Do you want to camp right by a lake? Camping Pilsensee is located on one of Bavaria’s most beautiful swimming lakes, the picturesque Pilsensee, and guarantees fun and games for the whole family with its own boat and SUP rental.
XXL Wine Barrels at Camping Pilsensee
Enjoy your holiday in a wine barrel at Camping Pilsensee with a direct view of the lake. The wine barrel is more spacious than it looks at first glance. A double bed (100 x 200 cm) and two single beds provide space for up to 4 people, and bedding is provided. An open wardrobe with shelves and hooks offers space for coats, etc. The auxiliary air heating warms the barrel quickly and pleasantly, even on cooler days. The pull-out table makes optimal use of the space in the sleeping barrel. In this very unique glamping accommodation, you also have electricity. Each barrel is equipped with a cool box or refrigerator. Of course, you won’t be sitting in the dark— the entrance door has panoramic windows, there are two more next to the entrance, and one at the end of the barrel. For sunny days, there is a sitting area with a sunshade in front of the sleeping barrel. This accommodation is especially cosy in winter: heated beds and infrared ceiling heating make sure you won’t freeze. Sanitary facilities are not inside the sleeping barrel but on the campsite. If desired, you can also reserve one of the private baths.
Facilities at Camping Pilsensee
The large grounds at Camping Pilsensee have something for everyone. For the little ones, there is a children’s playground. The rest of the family can have fun in or on the water. There are also kayaks, canoes, or rowboats available at the boat rental. For balance, Camping Pilsensee not only offers simple SUP board rentals, but also yoga classes on the SUP. There is even an XXL SUP available for groups of up to 8 people.
Right by the lake is restaurant Seehaus. The dishes are freshly prepared using high-quality, regional ingredients. In addition to smaller dishes such as soups and salads, there are also main courses “from the grill and the pan” and pasta dishes on the menu. The Seehütt’n Kiosk offers cold & hot drinks, food & ice cream during nice weather— and of course good vibes! At the reception and the entrance to the campsite, you will also find the Camp Paradise mini market. In addition to groceries and camping accessories, you can buy fresh bread, cakes, and small snacks every day. You can also purchase fresh coffee and newspapers here. For summer days, there is charcoal, grilled meat and sausages from butcher Ruf, toasties, vegetables, and much more. In the summer months, a quick snack can also be enjoyed at our bath kiosk, which is set up near the spacious sunbathing lawn.
