A day at the Porto Conte Regional Park
Want to alternate the beach for an active day in the greenery? Then head to the Porto Conte Regional Park. Hike over hills, enjoy the beautiful viewpoints and admire the flora and fauna. There are several routes through the park, which are also great to make with children. Who knows, you might come across donkeys and ponies, or go in search of the pink flamingo. There is plenty to admire in this nature reserve! The highest point in the park is Monte d'Olia. From 437 meters up here you have the best view of Sardinia and its azure waters. With more than 5,000 acres of nature, there is plenty to explore.
Heading toward the city of Alghero
Alghero, one of the largest cities in Sardinia, is about 5 kilometers from the glamping site. Take a trip to the historic center and wander the beautiful narrow streets, where the balconies are full of laundry hanging to dry. With its Catalan influences, many restaurants and a harbor, there is much to see, do and taste! Visit the Catalan Gothic Santa Maria Cathedral and walk the centuries-old seawalls. Head toward the squares for restaurants, enjoy an aperitivo and browse the many quaint stores. End your day with a delicious Italian dinner, or find a spot to watch the sunset.
The Caves of Neptune
Not too far from the glamping are the Neptune Caves. A special piece of nature you can get to by boat from Alghero, or by climbing a steep rock with more than 500 steps. Once inside the caves you will admire the most beautiful stalactites and an extraordinary underground lake. Nice campground.
Great place with everything you need: a market, a large pool area (swim caps required), a restaurant, and a very good location. The beach is just across the street, where you can rent lounge chairs and umbrellas.
It’s 4 km to Alghero, easily accessible on foot or by bike. A public bus also runs the route regularly.
Right now (mid-June 26), the beach still smells strongly of sewage in some spots; this comes from piles of seaweed that are still being cleared away everywhere. As far as we can tell, however, crews are working to clean it up.
The restroom facilities are clean and in good condition.
The only point of discussion is the number of toilets and showers. The campground wasn’t even half full, and there were constant wait times at the restrooms.
We’ve been coming here for several days every year for many years and will gladly continue to do so.

Schöner Campingplatz.
Toller Platz mit allem was man benötigt. Market, großer Poolbereich (mit Bademütze), Restaurant und in sehr gute Lage. Den Strand erreicht man direkt über eine Straße, dort sind Liegen und Sonnenschirme zum mieten vorhanden.
4 Km bis Alghero, zu Fuß und mit dem Rad gut erreichbar. Ein Linienbus fährt ebenfalls die Strecke ständig ab.
Jetzt grade(mitte Juni 26) riecht es am Strand an manchen Stellen noch streng nach Abwasser, das kommt von Seegrasbergen die überall noch aufgeräumt sind. Sowie wir das beurteilen können sind aber Betriebe daran das zu beseitigen.
Die Sanitäranlagen sind sauber und in gutem Zustand.
Einzig über die Anzahl der Toiletten und Duschen kann man sich unterhalten. Der Platz war nicht einmal halb voll und es kam ständig zu Wartezeiten an den Toiletten.
Wir kommen seit vielen Jahren, für einige Tage, sehr gerne zu diesem Platz und werden es auch weiterhin gerne machen.
Wir können diesen Platz nur empfehlen. -
