After a ride of no more than half an hour you will be in this beautiful historic city, best known for the horse races organized in the square in the center. Climb the Torre del Mangia for a great view, take a look at the Duomo di Siena cathedral and get lost in the streets around the central square. From quaint stores to tasty Italian ice creams and restaurants, you'll find it all in Siena!     Wir waren mit dem Camper zum Palio für drei Nächte auf dem Platz. Zum Glück hatten wir vorreserviert, so war ein schattiger Stellplatz für uns freigehalten. Der Pool war tagsüber ziemlich gut besucht. Wie fast überall ist hier die Bademütze Pflicht. Der Platz ist an einem steilen Hang gelegen, ganz oben am Eingang ist eine Bar und ein Restaurant. Mit dem öffentlichen Bus ist man in ca. 20 min im Zentrum, er fährt in regelmäßigen Takten. Mit dem Rad ins Zentrum zu fahren, ist nach meiner Meinung keine gute Idee: es ist sehr hügelig, die Straßen sind eng, man wird häufig geschnitten. Der Campingplatz hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

    Zeer dicht bij sienna en je kunt ook een bus nemen van een busstop dichtbij, redelijk propere sanitaire ruimtes en het blijft er niet te warm door alle bomen bij de camping

    Sehr netter Empfang durch eine Österreicherin, die seit kurzem in Siena lebt. Stellplätze ausreichend groß, gute Sanitäranlagen. Bus nach. Siena fährt alle 30 Minuten ca 5 Minuten vom Eingang entfernt.
