At the Sheepfold, various sheep breeds live, and you can see how the sheep are kept and what types of wool they produce. Are you coming in spring? Then there is a good chance that lambs have been born. You and the children can pet and feed these adorable animals. Workshops are regularly organized as well, for example about spinning and felting wool. By appointment, it is possible to herd the sheep with a shepherd dog. This is a unique experience and very suitable for groups.

The museum is dedicated to the history of rural life in the 19th century and is named after the legendary bandits Ellert and Brammert, who, according to legend, lived in the vicinity of Schoonoord. View a reconstruction of the cave where Ellert and Brammert are said to have lived or visit old Drenthe farmhouses, a blacksmith's shop, a clog maker's workshop, and a bakery. There is also a peat-cutting area where you can see how peat was cut and processed into fuel. There are activities and demonstrations, such as traditional crafts being practiced, and in the summer months there are events organized, like demonstrations of vintage tractors and performances by traditional dance groups. The museum is in Schoonoord, just an 11-minute drive from the campsite.
