Looking for a laid-back glamping spot for your next trip with friends? This detached safari tent at Vakantiepark Hunzedal is tucked away in the woods and gives you all the camping vibes, but with the comfort you want on holiday.

Inside, you’ll find a cosy living area with a TV and electric heating, so you can chill together in the evenings, even when it cools down outside. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer, kettle and coffee machine – ideal for easy breakfasts, snacks and late-night drinks. With three bedrooms (one with a double bed and two with bunk beds), there’s room for up to six people, and everyone still has their own space.

Step outside onto your veranda, grab a coffee and wake up to the sound of the forest. From here, you can walk or cycle straight into the Drenthe countryside. The holiday park itself has plenty to do: take a dip in the shared swimming pool, relax by the water or join in one of the organised activities. Do keep in mind: the swimming pool is closed for maintenance from 5 to 11 January 2026.

Fancy a change of scenery? The lively city of Emmen is only about 20 km away, perfect for a day out, a bit of shopping or a drink on a terrace. Closer by, in Borger, you’ll find cosy cafés and restaurants where you can try local Dutch dishes, from pancakes to regional specialities.

In the evening, you head back to your tent, open a bottle, play a game on the veranda and enjoy the fresh forest air. On New Year’s Eve, fireworks are allowed throughout the park, so it’s a fun spot if you want to ring in the new year with a bang (just remember to clean up the firework waste afterwards).
