We stayed at EuroParcs Hindeloopen for 6 days and really enjoyed our stay overall. We booked through Animod at a really affordable price. For that price, the deal was absolutely fine for us, and we had a wonderful time there.

We stayed in a “Just Nature 4,” which was perfectly adequate for our needs. The accommodation was functionally … equipped and well-suited for a stay of a few days. We particularly liked the location and the surroundings, which offer a wonderful opportunity to escape the daily grind for a few days.

One point we view critically, however, is the availability of fly screens. Not all cottages have them. Especially on warm days, this makes it difficult to properly ventilate the cottage without letting numerous mosquitoes inside at the same time. We would definitely like to see a better solution here.

Based on our experience, we would generally recommend EuroParcs Hindeloopen, though we’d be more inclined to book a stay as part of a special offer. We got a very good price for the 6 days through Animod. At the regular full price, we personally would be more critical of the value for money.

Important to know: In addition to the room rate, you’ll also have to pay the visitor’s tax and the cost of bed linens. Be sure to factor these into your total cost calculation.

We found our stay very disappointing. We arrived fairly late on the first day. Upon arrival, we found our cottage in a deplorable state. There were dirty handprints on the wall, countless dead mosquitoes in the bathroom, hair in our bed, and a bloodstain on the wall. The blinds and curtains were falling off the wall because they were in such bad … shape, and the umbrella was broken, too. There are an enormous number of mosquitoes and spiders there, and you can really see it because the walls were covered with spots from mosquitoes that had been swatted. We slept on the couch the first night because we found it so filthy.

We weren’t able to speak with the front desk until the next day. We were given a new cottage, and we were made all sorts of promises as compensation that, in the end, weren’t kept. This, too, was very disappointing, and we filed a complaint about it.

We paid 600 euros for 4 nights and found it truly shocking how the park apparently welcomes its guests for that price. Not to mention the lack of basic amenities you get for that amount. You have to pay extra for towels and clean bedding. We didn’t even get a hand towel to dry our hands, no soap in the bathroom to wash our hands, and only one roll of toilet paper. You had to buy the rest yourself. Not even basic kitchen staples like salt or pepper in the kitchen.

All in all, this was our last visit here. It’s a real shame, especially considering what a beautiful campground it used to be. And no, I’m not posting a bad review because I miss the campground. I actually went there to relive my childhood memories of that place, and I was really surprised by what it’s become. Such a shame. Read more Show less

A very disappointing experience at EuroParcs Hindeloopen. We paid about €605 for four nights, but upon arrival, we found the accommodation had clearly not been cleaned properly: dead mosquitoes in the bathroom, hair and dirty stains on the beds, bloodstains and other grime on the walls, and a lot of dust. Several items were also broken. We ended … up sleeping on the couch the first night because we found the beds too dirty.

After we filed a complaint, we were moved to another unit. At that time, a staff member explicitly promised several things, including clean bedding and towels. Subsequently, even these promises were not fully kept. When we brought this up again at the front desk, we were told that nothing else could be done for us.

In addition, we find the basic amenities offered here to be particularly sparse if you don’t purchase additional packages: no soap or washcloth in the bathroom, no dish towel in the kitchen, and only one roll of toilet paper. For a stay costing over €600, this gives the distinct impression that they’re cutting corners on absolutely everything and that you have to pay extra for even the most basic items.

Mistakes can happen, but in our view, agreements made afterward to resolve those mistakes should simply be honored. It was precisely the way our complaint was handled that led us to decide we would not book with EuroParcs again. Read more Show less
