We have been returning to this location again and again for 12 years. So many wonderful emotional impressions have left their mark on us. What we appreciated so much was the feeling of freedom and informality. A warm welcome at the reception, in the small supermarket, in the restaurant right on the campsite and the surf store including café. The sea was pleasantly knee-deep. Especially for our children, when they were still small and could explore the sea safely. But this year saw a commercial change. Brutal and loud, instead of quiet and engaging. A feeling of "you campers are no longer welcome here in the future. The idea, of course, from an investor's point of view. But, as is so often the case these days, established structures are simply being swept away, wiped out to accommodate new demands in the future. I would like to see the things that characterize the Netherlands for me continue. A cordial togetherness with that special feeling of being welcome, regardless of your social background. This could easily be established here too, if the old infrastructure of the washhouses and bathhouses and the access roads to them were designed in the same way as the "luxury mobile homes" and their access roads. Listening to all those who make this location so special, instead of wiping them away for commercial reasons. That is my conclusion from this year. Because we want to continue to visit this wonderful place. (3-4 generations and always between 10-16 people in total)

The location of the campsite is beautiful. Nice place. The site is absolutely dog-friendly. The sanitary facilities were well maintained and cleaned thoroughly every day. Luckily we were at the back of the site. It was very cozy there. Unfortunately, there is a huge building site on a very large part of the campsite. Expensive villas are currently being built there. We wish we had been informed about this building site when we made our reservation. Then we would not have booked. The noise of the building work could be heard right up to our pitch. On the way to the supermarket, which is located on the campsite, you have to walk around excavators and other construction machinery. Really not nice!!! Our impression was that this originally very nice campsite will displace campers in the long term. It all seems very commercial. What a pity. We won't be coming back.

I stayed at this campsite recently and unfortunately the experience was far from relaxing. There was significant building work taking place throughout the site, with heavy machinery and diggers operating from around 7am each morning. The noise was constant and made it very difficult to enjoy a peaceful stay or get a proper rest. While I understand that improvements and maintenance are sometimes necessary, there was no clear warning about the extent of the construction when booking. Had I known, I would have chosen a different site. The facilities themselves may have potential, but the disruption from the ongoing work really overshadowed everything else. It felt more like staying on a building site than a campsite. I’d recommend checking ahead to see if the work is completed before booking, especially if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing break.

Vacation booked, top photos on the website 🤐 and a single construction site on site. Not a word when making the reservation. At 8 am construction noise and excavators that almost drive around you. A disaster for the price. We couldn't dispose of gray water from the motorhome either. No space left for it. Paid for internet and got none. Thanks for nothing.

When we arrived at 3pm, the beds had not been made and the towels were missing. The ladies at reception were, as always in Holland, very friendly and helpful. The entire lounge on our roof terrace was missing. It was therefore an incorrect description and image on the booking platform. We were told in the lobby that the owner was responsible for this. We were at least provided with a seating area from another hotel. Unfortunately, the sun loungers and parasol were missing, as actually described. Shortly before seven in the morning, workers arrived on time with a digger and crane to work directly opposite our accommodation. We couldn't sit outside because we were covered in dust and the noise level didn't allow us to relax. If we had known about this beforehand, we would have refrained from booking, as this has nothing to do with a vacation. Beach no. 50 a pure disaster! We will not be back!
