    We enjoyed the Frisian countryside immensely: vast meadows, beautiful waters and the tranquility of the countryside. The absolute icing on the cake was our overnight stay at Smûk Recreation. At the atmospheric campsite, we were able to relax completely - especially thanks to the hot tub, in which we were wonderfully pampered. A big compliment to Gert and Crista for their warm hospitality and the fine atmosphere they know how to create. Everything was taken care of to perfection. A place to definitely return to!     We hebben ontzettend genoten van het Friese landschap: uitgestrekte weilanden, schitterende wateren en de rust van het platteland. De absolute kers op de taart was onze overnachting bij Smûk Recreatie. Op het sfeervolle kampeerterrein konden we volledig ontspannen – vooral dankzij de hottub, waarin we heerlijk zijn verwend. Een dik compliment aan Gert en Crista voor hun warme gastvrijheid en de fijne sfeer die ze weten neer te zetten. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Een plek om zeker nog eens naar terug te keren!     Nice recreation location with mostly rental locations that look very nice and cozy with all the amenities. Location is attractively decorated/styled. Store for necessities, waterfront "beach" and boat rentals. Regular pizza nights. Only about 7 spots of for camping with your own camping equipment. Good and clean plumbing and friendly owners.

    Leuke recreatielocatie met voornamelijk verhuurlocaties die er erg leuk en sfeervol uitzien en van alle gemakken zijn voorzien. Locatie is sfeervol ingericht/gestyled. Winkeltje voor de broodnodige zaken, ‘strandje’ aan het water en bootverhuur. Regelmatig pizzaavonden. Slechts zo’n 7 plekken van voor kamperen met eigen kampeermiddel. Goed en schoon sanitair en vriendelijke eigenaren.

    Was a wonderful experience: beautiful to see and be there. Cozy together, good food together, cooking on the firebowl - dogs cozy with Femke. Relaxed sitting along the waterfront, nice quiet spot. Cows, horses in the meadow and in the sky lots of different birds spotted! Even a stork passed by on the meadow, fortunately not landed for us 😉. In the evening relaxed in the hot tub. Slept wonderfully, in the morning enjoyed the birds and work sounds in the background - then it's nice when you don't have to do anything! A great space in the farmhouse to stay with not so nice weather or for just moment for yourself. Store provided with everything - that's all you need. Smûk spot, highly recommended****

    Was een prachtige beleving: mooi om te zien en er te zijn. Gezellig met elkaar, lekker samen gegeten, koken op de vuurschaal - hondjes gezellig met Femke. Ontspannen langs de waterkant zitten, mooi rustig plekje. Koeien, paarden in de wei en in de lucht heel veel verschillende vogels gespot! Zelfs een ooievaar kwam voorbij op het weiland, voor ons gelukkig niet geland 😉. 's Avonds relaxed in de Hottub. Heerlijk geslapen, 's morgens genoten van de vogeltjes en de werkgeluiden op de achtergrond - dan ligt het lekker als je niets moet! Een geweldige ruimte in de boerderij om te verblijven met minder mooi weer of voor zomaar momentje voor jezelf. Winkeltje van alles voorzien - meer heb je niet nodig. Smûk plekje, een aanrader****

    Beautiful location with a wonderful view of the farm and animals, hot tub and hot shower. We absolutely loved their little shop full of handy supplies (eggs, cereal, snacks, beers, wines etc) - all of good quality. We felt fortunate to take one of the boats out to explore the canals - quiet waterways and pretty setting. Walking trails with lots of wildlife were close by, stunning sunsets, and a water-side pub with good outdoor seating - truly a beautiful setting to relax and recharge. Just know (in typical Dutch style) that the cabins/tents are relatively close to one another. The hosts Crista and Gert made the stay wonderful - very helpful, considerate and customer-first. Highly recommend for couples and family stays,
