You want to enjoy the Frisian morning dew with your feet in the grass. Relax and recharge in nature. Enjoy a fire late into the evening and crawl into a comfortable bed, feeling satisfied. That’s why there are the Smûk Thuskes, created especially for you. These tents make you feel at home and are fully equipped with all conveniences. The tents are decorated with a Scandinavian atmosphere and a farmer’s heart. Perfect for people with a busy life who want to completely unwind.

The Smûk Thuskes are especially suited in spring for birdwatchers and nature lovers among us. The view from the Thuskes over the Frisian meadows is ideal for spotting Black-tailed Godwits, various butterflies, sparrows, lapwings, common redshanks, and swallows, as they live, fly, and nest. In the summer, you can enjoy the wide view or cool off by the water. In autumn and winter, a woodstove provides cozy warmth. With heated beds, it stays wonderfully warm even at night. Whether you come for birdwatching, summer fun, or a cozy winter stay, the Thuskes offer a special nature experience year-round.

The tent houses are for about 2 to 4 people, with a fantastic view through a large window of the beautiful nature and a little woodstove for heating. The tent houses are nice and bright and full of character. There is a comfy bed and a fun built-in bunk bed.

It is a combination between a house and a tent. The benefits of a tent: you hear the sounds of nature, birds, rain tapping on the canvas, but the bottom is wooden so you don't have to worry about drafts, and there is a lovely woodstove, so it's nice and warm, with beautiful authentic French doors.

    We had such a wonderful stay at Smuk! The campground has been set up with so much care and attention to detail; you see charming, atmospheric touches everywhere. The owners are incredibly friendly and hospitable, making you feel right at home.

    There’s plenty to do, without it ever feeling overcrowded. The cozy barn, the bread delivery service, the sweet animals to pet, swimming in the ditch, and the playground for the kids make it a wonderful place for young and old alike. Everything is just right and exudes peace and coziness.

    If I had to mention just one small area for improvement: the double bed had two different mattresses, one of which was clearly more comfortable than the other. That’s really the only thing we noticed.

    We had a wonderful time and would love to come back here again. Highly recommended!

    Wat hebben we een ontzettend fijn verblijf gehad bij Smuk! De camping is met zoveel zorg en aandacht ingericht; overal zie je leuke, sfeervolle details. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij, waardoor je je direct welkom voelt.

    Er is van alles te doen, zonder dat het massaal aanvoelt. De gezellige schuur, de broodjesservice, de lieve dieren om te aaien, zwemmen in de sloot en de speelgelegenheid voor de kinderen maken het een heerlijke plek voor jong en oud. Alles klopt en ademt rust en gezelligheid.

    Als ik dan toch één klein verbeterpuntje mag noemen: in het tweepersoonsbed lagen twee verschillende matrassen, waarvan de ene duidelijk comfortabeler was dan de andere. Dat is eigenlijk het enige wat ons opviel.

    Wij hebben enorm genoten en komen hier met veel plezier nog eens terug. Echt een aanrader!

    What an incredibly beautiful spot in the Netherlands. We stayed with the whole family in the bell tents on the field. The tents are spacious, clean, and have a comfortable bed. The restroom and shower are in a unit (cleaned daily) a short distance away. The hostess, Crista, and her husband, Ger, are very caring and really go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. Hats off to them! It’s amazing how they do this with so much enthusiasm. One more tip: rent a small boat and sail past the most beautiful spots!!!

    Wat een ongelofelijk mooi plekje in Nederland.Wij waren met de hele familiebij de bell-tenten op het veldje.De renten zijn ruim,schoon en een lekker bed. De toilet en doche zijn in een ( dagelijks schoongemaakte) unit verderop . De gastvrouw Crista en haar man Ger zijn erg begaan en doen echt veel om het je naar de zin te maken.Shappo! Hoe ze dit doen,met zoveel enthousiasme. Nog 1 tip; huur een sloepje en vaar langs de mooiste plaatsen!!!

    We absolutely loved our stay at Smûk! We were a group of 12 friends, and everything was taken care of down to the last detail. The glamping tents we stayed in were fully equipped with all the amenities. We also had a wonderful pizza night, went out on the small boats, enjoyed a fantastic breakfast, and rode our bikes into the village. We’ll definitely be back!

    Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf bij Smûk! We waren met een vriendengroep met 12 personen en alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. De glamping tenten waar wij verbleven, waren van alle gemakken voorzien. Daarnaast hebben we een heerlijke pizza-avond gehad, hebben we gevaren met de sloepjes, genoten van een topontbijt en zijn we het dorp in gegaan met de fietsen. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!
