Surroundings

Discover the Betuwe on foot or by bicycle

The Betuwe is a beautiful region in the province of Gelderland, located between the rivers De Waal and De Rijn. The green landscape full of orchards and water is the perfect destination for walking and cycling. For example, follow the Lingeroute. The route takes you along the longest river in the Netherlands. Enjoy the boats on the water, and the views of meadows and stop at a terrace for a drink along the way. Or put on your walking shoes and explore the region on foot. At Landgoed Mariënwaerdt you'll find beautiful forests, a manor house, and an estate store where you'll buy fresh local produce. You cycle here in about 10 minutes.

A trip to the city

Relaxing in nature is all too possible at the luxury safari tents in Betuwe, but there are also pleasant towns nearby. For example, drive within half an hour towards Utrecht or 's-Hertogenbosch. In Utrecht, stroll along the canals, find a spot on one of the many terraces, and visit various stores. In 's-Hertogenbosch you will also find the nicest stores, cozy restaurants and of course, taste a Bossche bol before returning to the glamping. Nijmegen is about a 45-minute drive away. This beautiful old city by the water has a historic center, many squares, and stores. End your day with a walk along the river Waal and enjoy a family outing.

A day out with the whole family

Want to go out with the whole family? Head towards Monkey Town Leerdam for a day of climbing and clambering. You drive here in 10 minutes. A day of indoor swimming can be done at Caribabad in Gorinchem, 25 minutes away. This tropical swimming paradise has multiple slides and whirlpools, so that will be a day full of relaxation and fun! Or opt for a game of farmer's golf at Boerengoed Enspijk, a 10-minute drive away.

Sailing on the Linge

Experience nature from a different perspective, the water! Camping BetuweStrand is located near the longest river in the Netherlands, the Linge. Walking or cycling along the river is already fun, but make it extra adventurous by taking to the water. Rent a sloop or boat, or choose the more active option and take a trip in a canoe. Several options are available in the area.
