Out and about with the whole family
A day at Walibi or Apenheul is fun for the whole family! At Walibi, adrenaline junkies skyrocket on spectacular roller coasters, while little ones enjoy kid-friendly attractions. Apenheul offers a unique experience where you come face to face with monkeys on the loose. Here, both children and adults learn about the animals and their natural habitat in an interactive way. Both outings are less than a half-hour drive away.
Hiking and biking from the glamping
The Veluwe is a paradise for lovers of hiking and cycling, with its vast moors, dense forests and sand drifts. A special attraction is the flock of sheep on Elspeter Heath, where you can watch the shepherd and his dogs at work. During your hikes you may also be surprised by the rich fauna of the area: from stately red deer to agile foxes and numerous bird species. The flora is equally diverse, with unique heather plants, deciduous and coniferous trees. It is an evergreen destination where each season has its own charm and color palette. Beautiful trails begin from the glamping, whether you're on foot or by bike. No bike with you on vacation? These are available for rent at the glamping!

Each of these cities has a unique character and offers a mix of history, culture and modern facilities. A great, modern campsite. The wash houses were always very clean, the facilities very well maintained. The water in the indoor pool could have been a little warmer. The supermarket has everything you need for your daily needs. The opening times of some activities were not always quite right. Sometimes they didn't open or closed earlier. Unfortunately, we didn't like the many dogs. They barked at us on every corner, guests took their dogs to the playground and then smoked there too. Some even let their dogs run off the lead. That was very unpleasant. We had a pitch on Leeuwerik. It was actually very nice, but the wash house was too far away and you always had to walk between permanent campers with lots of dogs. We didn't like that. Firstly, you felt like you were being watched and secondly, the dogs barked at you. Unfortunately, a small fence doesn't really help much when there are German shepherds and Rottweilers behind it. The dogs were probably peaceful, but it gives you a strange feeling. A few teenagers drove across the site at night with loud engine noise. That was unpleasant, but it's not the operators' fault. Finally, e-scooters, quads and fat bikes are prohibited. However, there was a group of older permanent campers for whom this rule did not seem to apply. Why is that? But apart from that, as I said, it's a great place and we'll definitely be back.

Last weekend a 2nd time here to camp. Our 1st time was on a regular pitch in 2020. Nothing to complain about the pitches, they are just good & spacious enough. We now had a pitch with private sanitary, and we were not so pleased with that. Unfortunately no towel/soap to wash hands, no toilet paper, and no towels for showering. Surely this is something you should expect if you book private sanitary facilities. When the fan turned on, a foul sewage smell came up, also not so pleasant. Except for these points, we had a great stay, but there are definitely areas for improvement. Therefore 4 stars instead of 5. The location of the campsite is top, that's why we came back here again. In the future probably again but no more private sanitary facilities for us.

A fine week behind us. With 5 adults and a baby in a Veluwe Villa. From the complete and cozy cottage, you can walk right into nature. Despite the fact that we were completely out of season (December) we really enjoyed it. A special thanks for the good service! To be repeated.
