Discover the Veluwe
On the Veluwe, you can go for an active walk or bike ride, but also if you are looking for peace and quiet you are in the right place. Deer, wild boar, and red deer still live in the Veluwe. There are special wildlife observation sites where you have an even greater chance of encountering one of these 'Big Five' of the Veluwe. Also fun: go on an excursion with a real forester. Rent a bike at vacation park de IJsvogel and go touring through the Veluwezoom National Park, where you will encounter beautiful different landscapes. Don't forget to look up from time to time, the park is full of many beautiful birds.

Het Loo Palace
In 1684, Stadholder William III and Princess Mary bought a small castle in the middle of the Veluwe called the Oude Loo. After they had it transformed into a royal palace, and through changes made years later by Louis Napoleon, it is now a beautiful large palace that you can come and admire. As you listen to the audio narration, you'll cycle through the old residents Willem, Mary, and Wilhelmina. Learn about the Dutch royal house and its history. Take a walk through the beautiful imposing gardens, visit the stables, and admire this 17th-century architectural masterpiece. A real highlight is the Roof, from where you have a magnificent view of the gardens. It also hosts unique events such as performances and exhibitions.
Recreation park Zeumeren
At recreational lake Zeumeren, 6 km from the Kingfisher, many activities are organized for young and old. Combine a beach day with, for example, supping or water skiing. If you are not a water rat, you can have fun playing mini-golf or short golf. The kids can climb, search for gold and dig for treasures at the adventure park SchatEiland. While enjoying a drink, watch a beautiful sunset at Beachclub Zeumeren.
Visit the craft and toy museum
Step inside the Crafts Museum after a 10-minute drive and go back in time. The museum has as many as 160 crafts in the form of stores and fully equipped workshops. Every week an old craft comes to life for you to admire. One floor up you enter the world of toys. The toy museum has a large collection of antique toys to admire. There are moving trains, old-fashioned dolls, and a whole collection of stuffed bears. Do you remember Dinky Toys? Of course, that's not missing from the collection. And it doesn't have to stop at just looking. In the playroom, there are several old Dutch games to play.

I’d read so many reviews praising the park’s tranquility. We were happy—you’d think it would be a nice, quiet weekend getaway. Unfortunately, not for us. Across from us were a couple of guests who felt the need to sit outside in the garden with a speaker almost all day long, with the volume cranked up as if they didn’t give a damn about anyone else. Even after 10:00 p.m., when it’s supposed to be completely quiet. Asking them nicely didn’t work, so the next morning we reported it to the front desk. We didn’t really feel like they took us seriously, even though we pointed out that they had the music blaring again starting at 8:30 a.m. They said they’d pass this on to the manager so he could contact the chalet owner. As expected, with just a short break, the music was blaring again for the rest of the day. Just before closing time, we popped in again since we hadn’t received any feedback, and we still hadn’t gotten any afterward. Yes, the manager was supposed to get in touch, but they had no idea what came of it or whether it had even worked out at all…
So, in other words, we’re going home, and you can figure it out yourselves.
We left a day early because of this. We understand we’re not the only ones at this park, but it would be nice if people showed some consideration for one another. I didn’t pay to listen to someone else’s music all weekend.
It’s a shame nothing was done about this, even though it was clear where the noise was coming from. But then again, maybe it’s a personal matter between the owner and his friends.
Other than that, it’s a neat and clean campground—that’s worth mentioning.this is a translation, click here for the original

Wonderfully relaxing—it’s just a shame that the pool, with temperatures over 30°, was only open until 4:30 p.m. That’s the only downside.
