At the experience garden at the Eekhoeve in Veenendaal, you can put together and pick your own bouquet. Each season, you'll find the most stunning and colorful flowers in the picking garden. At the Eekhoeve, all kinds of vegetables are also grown in the vegetable garden. Grab a small knife at the farm shop and harvest your own vegetables. It doesn't get any fresher than this! The whole family can also take part in the fun scavenger hunt. The experience route leads you past the animals in the stables, and guess what you feel in the 'voelkast' (feeling box).

Kröller-Müller Museum

Boring museums? The Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo is anything but a boring museum. It combines art, nature and architecture in a fun way. Big names, like Mondriaan, Monet, Van Gogh and Picasso, can all be found in the Kröller-Müller. The building itself is a work of art, with intimate spaces and beautiful light in a unique location on the Veluwe. The museum is also a fun day out for children. Play the dice game with them or go on a blind date with an artwork. In the sculpture garden you can have a picnic, play hide-and-seek and even climb on the artworks. How great is that?! And after such an active cultural day, you can sit down at Buitenrestaurant M.J. for a delicious museum-style dinner.

    We had a fantastic vacation. We stayed in cottage 113 (kids’ unit), and our 8-year-old daughter had a blast. What a great entertainment team and what fun activities!
    The cottage was clean, tidy, and very cozy. What a beautiful garden—plenty of sunny and shady spots, and very spacious. It even had its “own” playground with a slide and climbing … structure. There’s some confusion about whether it belongs to your cottage or is public. Other cottages had it more fenced off, so other children don’t come over, since your play structure is right next to your patio. Ours was too, but there was also a small open area. So there’s some ambiguity. However, this didn’t cause any problems. Our daughter had a great time. The large recreation area with a zip line, indoor playground, entertainment, and swimming pool was also all within walking distance. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the restaurant was closed—we were aware of this beforehand. It’s a shame, but you’ll know this if you read up on it. So no problem there, though it is a pity during peak season. The cafeteria was open, though. Prices were a bit questionable.

    All in all, we had a really wonderful week!!!! What a treat—the Rituals hand soap and shampoo in the bathroom, and a Rituals gift upon departure! Thank you so much!!!! We highly recommend this package and cottage for families with children!!!

    Wij hebben een top vakantie gehad. We zaten in huisje 113 (kindermodule) onze dochter van 8 heeft zich op en top vermaakt. Wat een leuk animatie team en wat een leuke activiteiten.
    Het huisje was schoon, netjes, en erg gezellig. Wat een mooi tuin, veel zon en schaduw plekjes en erg ruim. Een “eigen” speeltoestel met glijbaan en klim toestel. Er is wat verwarring of het nu bij je huisje hoort of openbaar. Andere huisjes hadden het meer afgeschermd waardoor er geen andere kinderen komen omdat je speeltoestel wel echt bij je terras zit. Bij ons ook maar er was ook een stukje open. Er is dus wat onduidelijkheid. Echter gaf dit geen problemen. Onze dochter heeft zich erg goed vermaakt. Ook het grote recreatie veld met kabelbaan speeltuin indoor en animatie, zwembad, allemaal op loop afstand. Op dinsdag en woensdag was het restaurant gesloten hier van waren wij op de hoogte, jammer maar dit weet je als je je inleest. Geen probleem dus, wel jammer voor het hoogseizoen. Cafetaria was wel open. Prijzen discutabele.

    Al met al een hele fijne week gehad!!!! Wat een kadootje de rituals handzeep en shampoo in de badkamer en bij vertrek een rituals presentje! Dank jullie wel!!!! Wij raden dit pakt en huisje meer dan aan voor gezinnen met kinderen!!!
