Let's start with the good. The location is top notch. Anyway, the park is on a lake. They have glow golf and mini bowling, which was top notch. The staff there was also top notch. The park is near Arnhem, but Nijmegen is not far either. We went to Ouwehands Dierenpark which is also not far, so plenty to do. The receptionist is also very nice and competent. Hence the 3 for service, which is only for her. If our cottage was otherwise good and we didn't need the manager, it would have been a 5 star. Or if the manager realistically spoke to the customers the rating might have been higher too. But alas, no accountability. We had a luxury chalet with hot tub. The hot tub was lovely and we used it frequently. The chalet had little luxury. We had chalet 13.13. Make sure you don't take that one! As soon as you use the dishwasher, kettle or oven the power flies off. All earth leakage switches stay on which is strange. The power then comes back on after 5 to 30 minutes. The TD could not fix the problem and then they offered us a downgrade from home. A less luxurious caravan and then we were allowed to keep using the other's hot tub. As it turned out, the other house did not even have an oven, which was said. This was because the power went off while we were trying to bake sandwiches in the oven. The joke was that at first we were under the impression, and had discussed this with the reception, that we only had to use the other cottage if we needed the oven. We could stay in cottage 13.13 as long as we didn't use the oven there. We thought that was an excellent solution. When we returned in the evening, it turned out that all the power was off in 13.13 and we still had to search in the dark for our stuff and the other caravan. The beds had not even been made, so we could do that again. The food we took away was also cold because of that. By the way, it is a wood-fired hot tub and it takes at least 3 hours and quite a few blocks of wood to get it hot. So it is not doable to walk back and forth from another house. And if he is warm you want from your door so walk into the hot tub with your swimsuit or bikini. And not from another caravan. Bit of privacy is a must with such a hot tub. There was unfortunately no other cottage with hot tub available what really was the only real solution. So we demanded to stay in the cottage with hot tub and then just not use the oven. We emailed the front desk about this and were then told that the malfunction had been fixed and after a night in the other caravan we went back to cottage 13.13 where almost all of our stuff was still there. The TD had even put up a bill that everything was working again. Tested and all. A little later we wanted to use the kettle and the power went off again in cottage 13.13. This also applied to the dishwasher. But the alternative was less luxury and walking back and forth for the hot tub, so we stayed in the cottage just for the hot tub. Then no oven and dishwasher. Boiling water on the stove. Fortunately, the refrigerator, heater, light and TV just still worked. That's how we made it through several days. Unfortunately, Thursday night was stormy weather with wind and lots of rain. When we woke up in the morning, the power was off again for no apparent reason. Then we noticed a leak in the corner of the cottage. There was a puddle of water on the TV cabinet under the desk lamp. Behind the TV cabinet, you could see that the baseboard was all warped, so that leakage has been there for a while. And I think those power outages are also more common and nothing new. Unfortunately, this is the worst experience we have ever had at such a chalet, but the hot tub was lovely. We emailed the manager several times for reimbursement because we didn't get what we paid for, but no response. So then a review. It costs more money in the long run.

We hadden chalet 13.13.

The place goes so much mud, small alleys so that you can not even get around the corners with a normal caravan.... The sanitary facilities here are getting on in years!!!. That's not so bad, the bad thing is the facilities are not even cleaned it stinks, trash cans overflowing....... the men's showers can't be used are all locked....... so you have to share the showers and toilets with the women........... and you pay full price for that

The campsite on the lake side is not to be recommended. I probably caught the norovirus there. The campsite a little further on, Camping de Mars, seems to be much better!!! And you are also on the water.

We stayed with our motorhome on a pitch right by the water, our French bulldog was allowed to join us and was treated in a friendly manner throughout the site. The sanitary facilities could do with a bit of attention. Monique's little café is definitely worth a visit, she cooks really well and also offers various other things, bread rolls and some consumables. She and her husband are just super friendly, very helpful and always available for a chat. All in all, we were very happy with the park.

Wonderful stay at Rhederlaagse Lakes! We really enjoyed our stay at vacation park Rhederlaagse Meren. The park is nicely maintained, the staff friendly and helpful, and the waterfront location is beautiful. There is plenty to do for both children and adults - swimming, boating, biking and good food at the lakeside restaurant. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere at the park was relaxed. We will definitely return here again!
