Summary created out of 620 reviews

The park enjoys a beautiful location on the Rhederlaagse Meer, with direct access to the water and plenty of cycling opportunities in the surrounding area. Guests appreciate the friendly reception staff, the swimming pool, and the spacious pitches separated by hedges. At the same time, there are many complaints about neglected maintenance: outdated and dirty sanitary facilities, unmown grass, overgrown stinging nettles, and poorly maintained paths. The beach is often covered with goose droppings, facilities such as restaurants and bars are frequently closed, and various technical amenities (electricity, wifi, water connections) do not function properly.

Very neglected campground, dirty restrooms, toilets simply disgusting. Tripping hazards on the way to the restrooms, sinks without hot water. Tall hedges—you have to crawl through them to get to the electricity.
Long-term campers who party all day with loud music.
A very, very unkempt campground—we were in the 500 area.
Very friendly reception at the front desk.
The beach bar is gone—it’s been taken down and is sitting on the grounds.

Overall, we were unfortunately rather disappointed with our stay and would not recommend the campground as it is.

Our biggest complaint is clearly the restroom facilities. We found them to be more than inadequate. Although the cleaning staff were on site regularly, from what we observed, the cleaning was done very quickly and superficially. It was easy to tell what had been cleaned—and what hadn’t. Especially at a campground, the cleanliness of the restroom facilities is a very important factor for us, which is why this strongly influences our rating.

The upper area with the swimming pool, playground, and cafeteria is generally nicely designed. However, we weren’t particularly fond of the floor of the swimming pool—or rather, what was on it.

We also found it unfortunate that the snack bar and the french fry stand had already closed early. We’re aware that the school vacation in the Netherlands had already ended by that time. However, there were still vacationers at the campground—including some from Germany, where vacation was still in session. We would have liked to see the operating hours better aligned with the guests who were still there.

Another major downside, unfortunately, was our campsite. It was far too small for our gear. We had provided the dimensions of our tent in advance. Nevertheless, in the end, only our tent and the car fit on the site. There was barely enough space for a table and chairs, and we couldn’t even use the awning on our tent. The site wasn’t clean either. Paper was hanging from the hedge in the corner, along with some children’s play money and broken toy cars lying around, etc.

What we found particularly baffling was that we saw significantly larger campsites at the same time, some of which had only very small tents on them. Of course, the allocation of spaces can’t always be perfect, but especially when the dimensions of the tent are known in advance, we would have preferred a more suitable assignment.

Overall, the campground definitely has potential, and some areas are really beautifully landscaped. Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness in the restrooms and the campsite—which was far too small for us—significantly marred our stay. In our opinion, the restrooms in particular are in urgent need of improvement. For these reasons, based on our experience, we unfortunately cannot recommend this campground.

We spent 3 nights there in our RV. An absolute disaster. I agree with all the negative reviews. The management at this campground needs to be replaced. This place has so much potential.
Never again. The front desk staff gets 10 stars.
