Great park; the cottages are beautiful and tastefully decorated. Unfortunately, the beds are incredibly hard. The pillow is terrible, too. It’s a disgrace that they even call that a pillow. It’s like sleeping on air. You can send impersonal messages via a chatbot from Veluwepark, which then forwards you to a staff member who informs you that no other pillows are available. And that was it.
We also booked a luxury cottage with a hot tub where the photos clearly show a lounge set. It turns out you “have to specify” that when booking, otherwise you won’t get a lounge set. Because the photos might not match reality… or something like that… instead of just putting a lounge set everywhere?!
And there’s no solution for that either.
Once again, we can check out impersonally without ever having spoken to anyone from the park.
So: if you’re looking for a cottage in a wooded location with the luxury of a hot tub (note: you can’t put anything down next to the hot tub—no book, no glass of wine)—then this is your chance!
Please do bring your own pillow, though, or you won’t be able to sleep.
And expect to spend most of your time indoors, since the only way to “chill” outside is in a chair.

You use an app to unlock the door with your phone, and the gate opens via your license plate and a camera—it’s very easy, and you skip the reception line. Virtually the entire park consists of brand-new mobile homes (I wouldn’t call them caravans). Many come with a hot tub, sauna, lounge set, etc., but you do have to select those options. Friendly staff—I recommend it...

They’re working hard to turn this former campground into something beautiful. There’s plenty of construction going on, so the park is still very much a construction site right now, but hopefully that will improve in about a year. The cottages are privately owned and are therefore brand new, but they vary greatly in terms of details. It all depends on how the owner chooses to furnish and finish them. We found our 6-person Heide Lodge to be a bit small. Fortunately, it did have air conditioning.

The park is a construction site. The homes are “new.” And so there are plenty of teething problems. The lights don’t work (unless you slam a door shut…). The front door is completely out of alignment. Ants are having a field day (after all, you’re in the woods). No screens on the windows (you’re in the woods!!). The four-person cottage is quite spacious but inefficiently furnished with a two-person sofa and one chair..... The restaurant is open whenever they feel like it and doesn’t communicate its hours clearly, and the same goes for the snack bar/shop. The reception is open until 5:00 p.m. The door is locked at 4:30 p.m. We paid a lot of money for a park that isn’t functioning properly.
